Actually, no, it isn't comprehension I questioned. I think it's selective reading is what I think, or selective responding. It's a common tactic, particularly in a forum like this, and it has nothing to do with the color of one's skin. I didn't find it profound. I found it ironic. Because in your mind your opinions of all white people are funded by history and therefore you can rightfully point that racism finger at all of us, even though you have no idea who we are or what shaped our opinions. And yet you're somehow offended with the volley is returned. "We" don't know "you", but "you" know "us"? And this is accurate because you are black and your terrible experiences growing up in Mississippi preclude any other actual thing, even though other black people with similar or worse experiences don't feel as you? They're all just misguided uncle tom's who need to be "dealt with"? Is that about right then? |

And yet so many black people grow up in Mississippi without feeling as you do, and, because of this, according to you, they must be "dealt with"? It just doesn't reconcile. I guess I could say, "that dog won't hunt", but that's probably a 'white' expression and, growing up in Mississippi you weren't allowed to hear it? |

You prioritize black people before all others. And you call me the racist? You clearly have a preference for life that is determined by nothing more than the color of a man's skin? Well Sir, just wow. I mean, as I've said, I know where you're coming from. I know Delaney and Du Bois. I know Charmichael. I know Che. I know Newton, and Seale, and King, and Malcolm. I have some level of respect for some of these men, but I know them in a context I genuinely believe you do not, and further I don't think you're interested, and that's too bad. I wish there was a way to open your eyes to the racism inherent inside you. Looks like it's too late. |
