The Deep QB Draft

Honestly I'd be talking to Watson and Wilson agents.
Asking if they will be on the move next year, obviously Watson wants out and it seems Wilson does to but the cap hit Seattle takes makes it unlikely.

If either will 100% come after this season just sign a vet and run him or Hill and trade next off-season.

Mac Jones. Could be the next Tom Brady with Payton. Three guaranteed cheap years allowing the team to stabilize and rebuild where necessary. Saints are then competitive for the next ten years.

Whoever we pick at QB, if we go that way, has to have certain intangibles that only Payton knows. There is no doubt that Sean knows the traits of these QB's better than anyone. It doesn't matter what round you draft a QB, preferably early, but Brady skews that somewhat. The point is whoever we draft to be our QB must have several certain traits that Sean Covets.

Jamie Newman - Wake Forest

Big kid, good size and hands. Played at Georgia before transferring to Wake Forest. Could see him slide to the Day 2.

Some scouts see Dak Prescott skill set in their evaluation of Jamie.
