We did alright. We only nabbed one King Salmon but we caught 40 Red (Sockeye) Salmon.

I think Alex will do well in New Orleans. He's a damn good FB willing to take on LB/DE. LTrain and AK could become even more lethal. As we've already seen, all they need is a small crease and it's over.

This will be interesting …

I think Ceedy would flourish as a SS. He plays great close to the LOS & is a terrific tackler. Similar to how Jamal Adams plays up in Seattle.

Honestly, I don't think PRob will make any contributions (if not cut) to our team going forward & Ken Crawley lost his confidence, subsequent benching right before we acquired Eli Apple.

I do like Mr. Mansfield though. He'll take lumps early on as a rookie but I'd still like a mentor (Dre' K or Richard S) in here to get him where he needs to be.

Facts.

I see he registered 20 tackles & a sack in 2020 not to mention he's a 4 year veteran with real starting experience. What I do like about him are the measurables. He's tall (6'7), long guy who extends on tackles. Davenport, Tanoh and P Turner are all BIG guys.

We'll definitely need to bring the heat when chasing guys like Rodgers (assuming he stays a Packer) , Tanneyhill, Josh Allen, Prescott etc.

X factor here - coach R Nielsen.

No faith in 3quan huh? Contract year & a new QB (both can throw it deep) under center. Remember 3quan & Callaway were very good deep ball receivers in college.

I'll be curious to see if the Saints move on from Tre' after this season though.

But would it be safe to say he's performed equally or better than most of the WR's taken before him in his 2018 draft class? Dante Pettis, Courtland Sutton, James Washington < --- all high second rounders aren't exactly setting the world on fire either.

With the exception of Michael Gallup, 3quan has performed well for what he's been asked to do in this style of offense.

I wouldn't write him off just yet brother :bng:.

Go back and listen to some of Dennis Allen press conferences. He went on record saying it took almost a month on figuring out how to use MJ effectively.

Stats don't tell the entire story on players, however according to PFR (pro football reference) Jenkins was statistically better than Bell in almost every category for 2020.

I'm not in those film study meetings, however one would believe the coaches may have felt VB was "limited" (INT's, TFL, QB hits etc) in his ability at the SS position. If you go back and look at his over all body of work, there was repetitive communication issues & rarely able to make an interception to change momentum. Not all on him however adding a veteran prescence helped the defense last season.

Not knocking the contributions Vonn made here, however Malcolm was a needed improvement in 2020.

Last year's avg pts per game was 21.1 I don't see how sub-20 is a stretch.

Do not underestimate the value of a veteran in the clubhouse. Jenkins is a solid safety on the field and a team leader off.
