I have admitted to be wrong both times. And talk about bias. We all have bias's. That is basic human nature. You yourself have a well known bias against the Saints front office and Sean Payton. Others have a bias against Jamies Winston. Others have had one against Drew Brees.

And again with being wrong, how many time have you admitted to being wrong?

“IF” MD stays healthy…. BEAST.

I’ve seen enough to know he is very good at what he does. My only concern continues to be availability. Makes the accomplishments Cam Jordan has made at LDE even more impressive.

2021, let’s do this.

Hot take - this will be his best, most productive season as a Saint :p.

I agree completely. With Hendrickson out of the picture he can be more involved in the pass defense. We aren't going to lose the sack numbers from Hendrickson who had the advantage of defenses keying on Jordan all the time. We had the 8th highest sack total in the league last season. I expect at least that many against this coming season and somebody has to get them. Davenport will get his share.

I heard Cam in an interview last week saying that he has been extremely fortunate to have avoided missing any time due to injury. He added that is very unusual among NFL linemen. Hopefully he doesn't jinx himself. :D

No question he's flashed some terrific, imposing moves, but can he stay healthy? is the question, isn't it?

Look Dalvin Cook finally had a healthy year and what a year it was, but geezhus, some guys just have no healthy constitution at all...

Have been critical of their moves, yes. Makes me and others no less a Saints fan for doing so. In fact, it shows objectivity...

Now when have you admitted to being wrong? Not the wrong part, which is often, but the admission of it? Was it since the last Ice Age?
;)

Point out any specific instances where I have been wrong. I'm sure you'll try to list times I have had viewpoints differing from yours. In those instances have you considered that you may have been wrong?

Well, waiting.

And I never said you were less of a Saints fan for your criticism. Nor am I any less of a Saints fan because I see very little to criticize these last 15 years or so. Anything I have seen is so trivial it has faded away.

I must say though, the white Nike shoes with the white tuxedo by Payton was not a good look.

Why would I want to be objective? What do I have to gain from that? The fact that I do not search for things to displease me about my Saints is something negative?

None...

Maybe you need to look in the mirror, and by that what you post and how you post to others...

You've no problem attacking the poster, when you should be challenging the contents of the post if you disagree...

Make a lot of assumptions and demeaning statements about the poster, but when it comes your way, oh wow...

You're just getting a taste of what you get; and you're getting dragged for it because well, you need to be made aware of it...

There are a great many intelligent folks here, smarter than I am because of the time I'm taken to demonstrate (likely waste) giving you the tone you give others...

When you've been corrected, which is more often than your ego cares to acknowledge, you deflect; being contrite and acknowledging it not a weakness...

I've earned and given such acknowledgements and along the way made very good friends here because of a little humility and a lot of tolerance...

Unlike smarter folks than I, I don't block your posts because I've got thick skin and a great deal of experience in debating...

Mocking folks re: draft talk, demeaning folks who question free agency, or blowing up at folks complaining of poor play...

You can make counterpoints in a positive constructive manner instead of trying to chase folks off the site because they upset your Saints world...

I am who I am and it's too bad if it rubs you the wrong way. I challenge a post until it becomes obvious that the poster is too obtuse to understand simple logic and at times I point that out.

Just face it. We are dramatically different types of fans. We even digest input on our Saints in dramatically different manners. I want to read as much as I can about my Saints, especially material with a positive spin. You, however, complain that writers are not critical enough for your taste and are therefore bad writers. I simply want to be a fan. It appears that you fancy yourself a critic.

When it comes to the draft, I enjoy it because it brings new players to my Saints. But I also dislike the aspect of it where some people unfailingly ***** and moan about when and whom and what not.

Once again, I am who I am. But, for you, I will do my best to try to ignore those that get their "enjoyment" in a more negative manner.

By the way, what the hell is a Karen?

We will probably lose even more core players to free agency next year because of the lower salary cap. However, this also means that teams will be cutting high profile players for lower rookie or low end free agents salaries. I am still hopeful that we will sign good players after cuts.

A new television contract is expected and from the numbers leaked as well as the chatter, the cap number should go up a much more than the 5~7 percent increases we've seen...

But you're right, we're currently way over the cap for 2022...

I would love for a team to cut a solid cb. and a good stout 3 down DT for that sketchy front line. Hoping Callaway steps up for the WR and would love to see another smashmouth rb. in the backfield. Wishful thinking and probably want happen but whoever the qb is it would take alot of pressure off them.

What is your definition of a WRz for the rest of the forum? And why do you feel we don't have one? I'm sure I'm not the only one wanting to know.

I would think that either Tre'quan Smith or Dante Harris would fit the traditional definition of a flanker, or what I believe you are defining as a Z.

I know what the heck a Z is. But, why do you feel Smith or Harris cannot fill that role? I think either is capable of handling the job with a stronger arm under center. Besides, Harris spent some time at X filling in for Thomas while Smith bounced around filling in holes.

I think Smith has gotten a bad rap the past couple of years because Brees admittedly hadn't been able to make all the throws. Sanders also knocked him down a slot in the pecking order. Now is his time to shine. I can also see Harris seeing more time in the slot. I feel our whole squad is underrated. Add in Callaway and that is a very solid wr1 through wr4. I'd like to see Baker, like you mentioned, and see what Humphrey has in year three.

What little film of Baker I've seen, he might be there; he looks more like a WRs though...

Will it be @CantGuardMike's choice or the Saints?

Well Michael Thomas is out for roughly the first half of the season (June surgery, reported four month recovery time.)

It’s probably going to be a lost season. Start the rookies (Adebo, Werner, Turner, etc) and probably get a top ten pick in next year’s draft. We’ll be better for it in the long run.

Giving up this early bud? ... this team has too much talent (on both sides) for rebuild mode. Losing Mike for a month or so will sting but at this level .... ANY GIVEN SUNDAY. Tough season no doubt but "lost"? Naw, this team has very good coaches and an above average offensive line.
