Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting
I'm surprised "critics" & "analysts" haven't posted Wonderlick scores for this 2022 QB draft class.
I don't put a whole lot of stock into the scores but here are names/results for some potential Day 1 selections : Sam "I am" Howell: 34 Malik Willis - 32 Carson Strong - 22 Desmond Ridder - 19 Kenny "Baby hands" Pickett - 17 Matt Corral - 15 |

NFL eliminating Wonderlic test in draft procedures By Ryan Glasspiegel January 5, 2022 The time-honored tradition of allegedly confidential Wonderlic scores getting leaked before the NFL Draft appears to be coming to an end. A league memo obtained by the AP says that league officials “plan” to eliminate the Wonderlic — a standardized, multiple choice test with logic riddles designed to gauge intelligence — from evaluation procedures. This is news many have been advocating for over a number of years. As far back as 2009, a study revealed the Wonderlic had no correlation for NFL performance at a vast majority of positions. The only positions with correlation were tight end and defensive back — and the correlation was negative. The NFL also plans to punish teams for asking prospects insensitive questions. The memo said teams could be docked as much as a first-round pick and fined at least $150,000 for any conduct deemed to be “disrespectful, inappropriate, or unprofessional” in interviews with prospective players. There are well-documented instances of teams treating players inappropriately during interviews. Dez Bryant was infamously asked if his mother was a prostitute. A number of players were asked if their mom was hot. One prospect said he was asked to reveal his internet search history. Eli Apple was asked about his sexual orientation by the Atlanta Falcons. |

JP, you'd take Stingley over Hutchinson? IDK but he has already shown traits of TJ Watt. |

All of the plugged-in draft guys are saying that Georgia DE Travon Walker will be the #1 pick.

I think the 2022 draft will go down as a year where most teams can stay put and let the player you want drop down to you.
No need for reaching. Disclaimer: I'm just a couch GM. |

Per Tony Pauline, the Saints have made calls to the Seahawks about potentially trading up to 9.

Kenny Pickett …meh :(. 19. Saints: Tyler Smith, offensive lineman, Tulsa. “The post-Payton offense needs more talent, and not necessarily a receiver.” Is the WR part some sort of joke ? |

Treylon Burks - WR Arkansas
If he falls to #19, I hope he is our guy. |

Let me ask you if Burks and Watson are there at #19, are you going Watson? Give me the guy who runs away from DBs from Bama, TX A&M, Florida and LSU. He had a poor combine, but the tape tells something different. |

That mock draft is a joke. Atl, Carolina, and Seattle need qb’s like it’s nobody’s business and they got them selecting other positions but keeps that narrative going that we need a qb in the 1st. Smh, Florio is a dips*it |

I like Burks. He’s is AJ Brown but more agile. Him and MT would give Jameis two big bodied receivers to throw to and would make it hard for smaller db’s to defend. Also, Burks is country strong |

Olave gets open better than anyone I've seen. Don't we need someone to stretch the field AND catch the football. If Burks had a poor combine, is he not available later in the draft? Watson's score is off the charts. What's Burks' score? LSU's recent WRs all scored way higher than Burks. Do your own RAS here. BTW... the Alabama WR didn't fare as well either on the RAS. Saints place more weight on the RAS than we all realize, at least they did under SP. We'll see with DA. |
Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting
I honestly believe Olave will be gone long before it's our time to pick.
He appears the most polished of them all. But like you said, we'll see how Dennis approaches the draft tomorrow night. |
