Selecting a QB at 18 would be a serious reach.

Just my GM couch coach opinion though.

This QB class is better than it's being given credit...

I know the Saints have signed a couple of safeties lately, but neither of them look like starters. I'm high on Cine from UGA. Would love to see him in black and gold.

Gil Brandt's Top 100 list

His ratings are different than that of PFF. Makes you wonder if a trade was really necessary. With the draft three weeks away, just how much movement should we expect these prospects to make in the eventual draft order?

Gil Brandt's take is always interesting, but tends to be dated by a few decades...

F' Sauce Gardner, Stingley is the best CB in this draft...

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

So while I've been down this past week, I've been watching analysis on the QBs in this draft...

The class is underrated, and small, but has some gems, including Western Kentucky QB Bailey Zappe and Southeastern Louisiana Cole Kelley (Tom Brady type passer)...

Anyways some of you may remember a QB the Saints drafted in 2002, Round 6, J.T. O'Sullivan who has a really informative YouTube Channel breaking down QBs...

My favorite in this draft is QB Matt Corrall, really like his quick, efficient, strong, Marino-like release; well, O'Sullivan started analysis on Corrall more than a year ago...

So you get to see the growth and development of Matt Corrall over the past year; O'Sullivan, as in all videos, is brutal with criticism as well as generous in accolades...

Here are some links of those videos:

JT needs to do a top ten for QBs in this draft.

His numbers waned quite a bit in 2020. I am not so sure he belongs in the top ten as he's being touted as of late. But let some team pull the trigger on him then. It'll help the Saints get a player they want who may have slipped down as a result on a guy like Stingley getting in the top ten.

Matt Corrall was my favorite all year. I watched a lot of Ole Miss. I hate Ole Miss because of their history but I can’t lie like I don’t love their swag. A part of me wanted to go play ball there. But yeah, I do like Matt.

Get why many want a WR in Round 1, but we've already got #CantGuardMike as a WRx, so why draft another?

Will say we definitely need some help opposite Mike to open the field and those guys will be there Day 2...

My favorites on Day 2 are Alex Pierce and Skyy Moore - so this tweet really caught my eye...

Alec Pierce is the WRz we need long-term opposite @CantGuardMike to really open things up...

Grabbing Bo Melton late would be amazing, he's never played with a quality passer, and has cheetah speed...

Over the last decade, how many of those were legit (rds 1-4) NFL prospects?

Rounds 5 -7 aren’t good enough. Only true prospect I got under Payton was Dev Henderson but that was almost 2 decades ago.

Recent notable names that were on the board and passed on …. Jarvis Landry (we selected BUST Stanley Jean Baptiste) Jabril Cox & Patrick Queen (we selected Ruiz  instead).

Too bad we couldn't of traded Ruiz for Cooks. Since Houston’s front office loves Ruiz and draft another guard

Where the hell is Bill O’Brien when you need him :p.

He traded away LEGIT (Cooks/Hopkins) WR threats.

That graph goes back to the 80s and includes 80s picks Hokie Gajan, Eric Martin, Dalton Hilliard, Michael Mayes - all outstanding players that boosted the roster...

In the Sean Payton era, the Saints have only two picks - DT Al Woods, C Will Clapp; WR Devery Henderson was picked in 2004...

I'd had love to do that, pick up OT Luke Goedeke in Round 3 to play Guard...

Great point. We need to tap into more (and better) LSU players.

I wonder if it comes down to guys who WANT to remain in their home state especially as a young man with money.

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

With 2 picks in rd 1, that's gonna be crazy.

I'm hoping Dennis Allen and the brain trust stay put @ 16, 19.

Potentially, you are looking at TWO quality starters for years to come.

Imagine hitting on this years picks & having another 2017 type Saints draft (Latt, Marcus W, Ramz, AK, Trey H) class.

Whoa.
