George Pickens will be stud and no one's talking about him.

Guys, we have to go with BPA. No question.

I'd be fine if our first two selections were on defense.

Go get Purdue WR David Bell in the middle rounds to go with a 1st round WR and dang we'd be set.

What’s the odds they select a Buckeye this year? 😄

Makes sense… He’s kind of a Kwon Alexander clone.

I keep hearing and reading more about the Saints and Matt Corral. Please don't make this mistake! I know opinions vary, I just don't see him as an NFL QB. I don't like the offense he comes from, it's very heavy RPO. I don't see decision making, or accuracy.

You'd pick Watson over Olave or Drake if they fell? Williams?

Red Light Challenge!!! For the Cash Cab Bonus, please, rank how you'd pick the following:

Jameson Williams

Garrett Wilson

Drake London

Chris Olave

Treylon Burks

Christian Watson

Jahan Dotson

Christian Watson in the first?! No way.

Jahan Dotson - WR Penn St

He’ll be there late in the first round.

Natural pass catcher, solid route running & loves the game.

Saints have had multiple meetings with Michigan RB Hassan Haskins. At 6-2, 228lbs he’s a great day 3 option to be our future power back.

Saints definitely need to address RB at some point in the upcoming draft.

Haskins & Kenneth Walker are players I like also. It's pretty amazing Alvin Kamara didn't get a call until Day 3. Wow.

C'mon scouts, I need the Saints 2017 draft all over again :p

I like Arizona State’s Rachaad White. Nice size at 6ft, 214lbs and probably the best pass catching RB in the draft.

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

Oh I could totally see us going with Jordan Davis with one of our firsts if he’s there. That’s the kind of pick none of the fans expect.

With a defensive-minded head coach and two defensive coordinators you better believe they’d be drooling over a perfect 10 RAS behemoth in the trenches.

Davis in the first? Butler in the fourth round?

While the DT rotation was effective in plugging up the run, as well as collapsing the pocket, Saints only had 2 sacks from the DT dept, both by Onyemata...

Now Onyemata actually had good production for the games he played; but thought has occurred to me - if Davis fell, would DA prioritize a DT over an elite OT or WR?

I don't wanna hear KMajor crying about WRs again... And Watson is looking like the next Randy Moss with his speed and catching radius .

Trust me, I’m not the only one :p.

You just can’t ignore the position for 3 years and expect to compete offensively with the big boys.

Remember back when we won that “chip”, we had weapons at TE & WR.

We had reliable role players. Saint don't need to draft WR in the first they can get a starter in the second. Most offensive weapons don't equal SB BEST team does and sometimes that's not the case gwt starters at whatever position they draft guys that can come in and play immediately and help the team win

Rell&Gold 04-23-2022 12:55 PM

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

DT QB LB CB OT C WR RB TE don't matter just don't draft any injury "prone" guys or projects they need impact players with their first 4 picks especially the 2 first rounders

jeanpierre 04-23-2022 01:00 PM

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

So, if WR Drake London falls to us as an option in Round 1, do you take him?

Of Wilson, Olave, Williams, London, how'd you rank 'em?

ChrisXVI 04-23-2022 04:06 PM

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

Drake London’s kind of redundant with Michael Thomas. Plus, there are so many teams in front of us who could use a big-bodied receiver.

I want speed at the position, but knowing how much we value run blocking in our WR’s the question becomes which of these fast guys is the best run blocker??

And while some players are rising, Kyle Hamilton continues to fall. Many in the league tell me they think Hamilton ends up somewhere between picks 15 to 20. That’s still later than I expected and is a precipitous drop for a prospect still graded by some as the top player in this draft.

Dennis Allen wouldn’t even hesitate.

Brisker might be a better fit...

Cole Strange - OG Chattanooga

6'5 310 ... mid/late-round diamond in the rough? (See Carl Nicks)

Cole is versatile and very quick for his size. High football IQ. Solid athlete with the ability to recover.

IMO our current guards continue to be the weak link of the O-line.

Chattanooga has produced some good NFL players. They had a pretty good team when I lived there. I totally agree that we definitely need to improve on our current set of guards.

I taught a self defense class at UTC when I lived in Chattanooga years ago.

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

I thought about doing my own first round mock while I have a nice lazy Sunday, but I’m so completely unsure of what any team is going to do this year. A couple QB’s could go in the top 10, or no QB’s at all go in the first round. So unpredictable.
