Re: 2022 NFL Draft: New Orleans Saints
That's fine WITH YOU Guido I'm not that's okay. I know this much Brian Robinson and Nakobe Dean and Brian Robinson were picked with our 3rd picks Percy Butler Dane Belton could have been our 4th round picks. Filled special team needs and Dt with everything else. Your opinion is yours. I'm not a "YES" man so that "if they felt he their #1 wr then I'm with it" mentality isn't going to fly here.

I'm saying if he doesn't turn out to have a Justin Jefferson or Jamar Chase impact it wasn't and trading up for him is telling me that's how the Saints felt

There is a consensus that he was the best route runner in the draft; and on local television when DA gave nightly rap-ups on the days draft, DA said the same... Absolutely hate giving up picks to move up, but DA's sights were on Olave and that was just gonna happen... I did show on a previous post how using the more contemporary trade chart that both teams got good value... https://blackandgold.com/saints/1018...tml#post951051 (2022 NFL Draft: New Orleans Saints) Personally, I'd rather have nabbed an elite CB after Penning, even a QB (Corral and Pickett were my favs) or we could have gotten an elite DL... And I'd taken R2 to take Alec Pierce, and drafted one, even two more complementary WRs to spread the field... But Michael Thomas and Chris Olave are already one of the elite WR duos in the league now.... https://thedraftnetwork.com/prospect-rankings https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/c...ave/qaG1ZdTDRw https://www.nfl.com/prospects/partic.../all-colleges/ https://www.nfl.com/prospects/chris-...9-01a521202e2f https://www.profootballnetwork.com/2...rankings-more/ https://www.profootballnetwork.com/c...g-report-2022/ https://walterfootball.com/draft2008P.php#2022positions Don't subscribed to ESPN, so I haven't listed what Kiper and Co have to say... |

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: New Orleans Saints
Not sure we can afford both with extensions hopefully coming for Davenport and Gardner...
With Olave selection, smart money is gonna be on Tyrann Mathieu signing; Nick Underhill who gets thrown little nuggest posted earlier this morning about it... Honey Badger would really energize the fan base, the corporate Superdome crowd, and the secondary to compensate for some the range lost with Marcus Williams... |
