Re: 2022 NFL Draft: New Orleans Saints

#IMHO, Pool of players that make great fits to Saints:

LB JoJo Domann (best coverage rating in draft)

WRs Kyle Phillips (and a very capable punt returner, only WR to ever truly smoke Derek Stingley on a play)

WRz Bo Melton (Tyreek Cheetah Hill speed, Raw)

RB Pierre Strong (very similar to another Pierre, only faster)

RB Ty Chandler (Home Run Speed, Transferred to UNC, great production)

DT Matthew Butler (Capable Pass Rusher, Amazing First Step)

NT John Ridgeway (Very raw, but has highest ceiling, Ryan Nielsen multiplier)

TE Charlie Kolar (Yes, he's got that high a ceiling)

TE Austin Allen (Late Round Gem, Impressive Size to Speed Athleticism)

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Amen. Look today's NFL CB has to be super lean and be quicker, faster that the WR, who know's where he's going, but that DB has to mirror...

After NFL QB, NFL CB is the toughest position on the field...

Unless you were playing against last year’s Saints WRs.

CB Tariq Woolen, UTSA, who visited the Saints, just got picked by SEA...

Seahawks are rebuilding their Legion of Boom with some impressive DB picks...

Appalachian State LB D'Marco Jackson?

Underwhelming selection, better options were on the board...

C'mon, DA, Tennessee DT Matthew Butler was the Volunteer you should have selected...

Even DT Matt Henningsen would have given you a versatile defensive linemen...

Per NFL.com | D'Marco Jackson Scouting Report

Draft Network | D'Marco Jackson

Depth/special teams. Pretty normal for a 5th round pick.

Chris, there's still rotational guys like Butler who could provide juice at the 3-tech, get your special teams in Round 7/Rookie Free Agency...

If Kwon is re-signed, it'll be moot, but after a terrific Day 1, Saints have shat their hat Day 2, Day 3...

Like to know who beat the table for a LBer that likely won't have a veteran contract...

Some amazing talent is still there...
