You are one very odd individual.

I was not shocked for a couple of reasons. First, after 65 years on this planet nothing truly shocks me anymore, regardless of using the literary phrase. Second, the fact that they finally DID place him on IR while sharing the fact that he had dislocated the toe instead of suffering a more mild injury implied earlier changed the parameters and made the decision clearer.
