We have Hurst. He's more than capable. We should, of course, look to add regardless, but as the article points out it IS one of our least needy areas. What we need there is simply health for the unit to be one of the very best in the league. If Peat could remain healthy himself he's shown he can be a very good LG.

Constantly being hobbled and you can't count up games played.

Edit - I looked it up . Played 11 games in 2022 & 6 in 2021.

2023 cap hit: 18,371,000.

Savings if released before June 1 - $1,387,000
Savings if released after June 1 - $11,825,000

Here's the thing Smash - "decent" needs to be replaced with "better". 17 games at this level of competition is a grind. Go out and find better depth, so when a starter goes down we continue to churn it out. I've beaten this dead horse to a pulp on depth.

We can't continue to use this "if player X doesn't have injury on the O line, this team woulda, coulda, shoulda" yada, yadda. Copy cap league - do more research on what Cincy, Philly, and KC do when a starting O lineman goes down.

There are a ton of hungry, big uglies out there.

IMO Hurst is replaceable, even as depth. The same applies to Calloway & Trequan .
