He outplayed his first contract and was an amazing impact player before his initial injury. His uncle, Keyshawn Johnson trained and prepared him well to succeed in the NFL. He came in running polished routes and looking like a pro day one. MT didn't start acting like a Diva until after his injury and it's possible he just wanted to stay relevant.

After can't call Mike refused contact with the Saints coaches and training staff it left a bad taste in most fans mouths. Although, I don't think too many knowledgeable people have faith in the Saints doctors, and rightfully so with misdiagnoses being the norm rather than the exception.

I used to sell medical equipment to Ochsner and the only dirtier hospital I've ever been in was the VA, which is filthy and needs immediate attention. Anyway, upon further reflection, I'm not as upset as I used to be about his not returning phone calls to the training staff.

He was rushed back prematurely after the medical staff cleared him to play. When he returned he re injured himself potentially jeopardizing his career. The injury kept him off the field for a couple of years while rehabbing and when he came back strong he was a weapon for Jameis Winston before he injured his other foot and then missed the rest of the season.

MT has been paid well to rehab. I hope that he clears all medicals and can play at a high level again. If we restructure his contract to keep him I would hope it is an incentive driven contract. I would hate to pay him again just to have another injury sideline him. He is not the same conditioned athlete that he was and injury tend to creep in with older players who are just getting back in the game.
Exactly when has Michael Thomas ever acted like a diva, Rugs? Has he ever complained about not getting the ball? Has he ever went to the media making demands? I'm pretty sure that answer is no. Never. You can make several claims about Thomas, but being a diva cannot be one of them in all honesty. He has one of the least "diva-ish" personalities I've seen in a WR since Colston. They have both always been quiet and reserved in front of the camera or microphone.

I’d be happy walking away with just David Carr, Damien Harris/James Robinson, and Isaac Seumalo in free agency. Let Andrus Peat walk. Get Mark Ingram to hang it up. Get our QB, DT, and another RB in the draft. With health we can win now.

Elliss' market value might be limited. The FA LB supply is pretty high out there right now.

Winston is gone and Thomas, without a dramatic restructure will be traded or cut! Keep Dalton for a small contract and draft a QB to learn from both vets! We need a good RB and re-sign JJ!!!

Either trading or releasing Thomas comes with the same $26 million plus dead cap hit. A restructure or rewrite is looking more probable now because it can in fact LOWER his cap hit.

Spears is a smooth runner.

He knows where the end zone is, can break tackles, very decisive and catches with his hands.

He could be very good in our offense.
