Well, rez, I guess that there has to be 1,998 others here that are convinced that there's no way the Saints can be contenders according to post to which you just replied. LOL! That's assuming you and I are the only ones that believe the Saints can "contend".

You're not the only ones who believe this team can make some noise next season. BUT... a LOT of things need to go their way. As a long time Who Dat, I am a realist when I think of the odds of that ish happening!

True Dat. A lot of things need to go our way.

*Team health
* Signing/drafting better depth at every position
*Sign Carr/drafting Hendon Hooker
*More creative play calling on offense using Kamara, Shaheed, and Taysom Hill
*A run stuffing disruptive DT/pass rushing speedy DE
* Free safety/strong safety
*Signing/drafting an OG to replace Peat, the Pillsbury dough boy, with a mauler on the line
*Draft/sign a 50/50 possession receiver to replace Michael Thomas
*Draft/sign a receiving TE and use the two tight end set more
*Draft/sign a power back to compliment Kamara and one to eventually replace him

That's an awful lot of things that need to go our way. The front office is still in the win now mode but most teams in a win now mode don't have that many holes to fill or questions to answer. I'm not saying it can't be done but it's a long listof needs to fill. Good luck Mickey.

Lol, good luck (post #267) there.

Add coaching to that list.

Allen and Carmichael are on the hot seat or at least they should be.

When we drafted MT I told my twin brother that he was going to sell a lot of jerseys and for a nice change I was right. He outplayed his first contract and was an amazing impact player before his initial injury. His uncle, Keyshawn Johnson trained and prepared him well to succeed in the NFL. He came in running polished routes and looking like a pro day one. MT didn't start acting like a Diva until after his injury and it's possible he just wanted to stay relevant.

After can't call Mike refused contact with the Saints coaches and training staff it left a bad taste in most fans mouths. Although, I don't think too many knowledgeable people have faith in the Saints doctors, and rightfully so with misdiagnoses being the norm rather than the exception.

I used to sell medical equipment to Ochsner and the only dirtier hospital I've ever been in was the VA, which is filthy and needs immediate attention. Anyway, upon further reflection, I'm not as upset as I used to be about his not returning phone calls to the training staff.

He was rushed back prematurely after the medical staff cleared him to play. When he returned he re injured himself potentially jeopardizing his career. The injury kept him off the field for a couple of years while rehabbing and when he came back strong he was a weapon for Jameis Winston before he injured his other foot and then missed the rest of the season.

MT has been paid well to rehab. I hope that he clears all medicals and can play at a high level again. If we restructure his contract to keep him I would hope it is an incentive driven contract. I would hate to pay him again just to have another injury sideline him. He is not the same conditioned athlete that he was and injury tend to creep in with older players who are just getting back in the game.

With all of that we'd be right there with every other team that has no holes.

By the way, can anyone give me a list of all of those teams that have no holes?
