Re: Official 2023 OFFSEASON Thread
Well, rez, I guess that there has to be 1,998 others here that are convinced that there's no way the Saints can be contenders according to post to which you just replied. LOL! That's assuming you and I are the only ones that believe the Saints can "contend".

Re: Official 2023 OFFSEASON Thread
You're not the only ones who believe this team can make some noise next season. BUT... a LOT of things need to go their way. As a long time Who Dat, I am a realist when I think of the odds of that ish happening!

The front office is still in the win now mode but most teams in a win now mode don't have that many holes to fill or questions to answer. I'm not saying it can't be done but it's a long listof needs to fill. Good luck Mickey. |

He came in running polished routes and looking like a pro day one. MT didn't start acting like a Diva until after his injury and it's possible he just wanted to stay relevant.
After can't call Mike refused contact with the Saints coaches and training staff it left a bad taste in most fans mouths. Although, I don't think too many knowledgeable people have faith in the Saints doctors, and rightfully so with misdiagnoses being the norm rather than the exception. I used to sell medical equipment to Ochsner and the only dirtier hospital I've ever been in was the VA, which is filthy and needs immediate attention. Anyway, upon further reflection, I'm not as upset as I used to be about his not returning phone calls to the training staff. He was rushed back prematurely after the medical staff cleared him to play. When he returned he re injured himself potentially jeopardizing his career. The injury kept him off the field for a couple of years while rehabbing and when he came back strong he was a weapon for Jameis Winston before he injured his other foot and then missed the rest of the season. MT has been paid well to rehab. I hope that he clears all medicals and can play at a high level again. If we restructure his contract to keep him I would hope it is an incentive driven contract. I would hate to pay him again just to have another injury sideline him. He is not the same conditioned athlete that he was and injury tend to creep in with older players who are just getting back in the game. |
