Re: shockey to saints?
The problem with that is our 2009 3rd maybe headed to the jets in the Vilma trade depending on how many games he plays in.

Re: shockey to saints?
Reggie Bush was also at WM24 and was hanging around Snoop Dogg’s trailer most of the afternoon on Sunday. My sources tell me that the New York Giants are going to trade outstanding TE Jeremy Shockey to Bush’s Saints, prior to the NFL draft. Shockey is an Oklahoma kid from Ada who told me last week he was looking forward to playing for the Saints. If any NFL player was tailor made for the WWE, it is JeremyShockey and the Chicago Bears’ Dusty Dvoracek.

Re: shockey to saints?
Food for thought:
Payton was the offensive coordinator for the Giants, during Shockey's rookie year. He likely had a big say in drafting the guy. More importantly, Shockey had his best year ever with Payton at the helm. 74 Rec. 894 Yds. (only 2 TDS), but still, maybe Payton knows how to handle him and how to get him the ball....... |

Re: shockey to saints?
Somebody do me a favor and list the reasons as to why Shockey has been labeled a "team cancer." I should have no problems getting an answer to this, seeing as their are many who are throwing this designation around.
Honestly, I don't know, which is why I'm asking. Did he shoot up a club? Smack his girlfriend around? Did he make it rain? Has he publically berated his head coach? Has he held out for an extended period of time, demanding more money? Chastised his fellow teammates? I want to make sure I didn't miss something.... |
The waiting drove me mad....
I don't want to hear from those that know... Everything has changed, absolutely nothing's changed Eddie is a....draftnik? |

Re: shockey to saints?
First off, LIFETIME Saints fan........Have been on the website now for awhile, enjoy reading all the posts...
I think this would be a great pick up for the Saints, Brees had alot of success with Gates in SD. I think he could do the same with Shockey. Brees is the type of guy, I think that could keep his head on straight. And like kidbra said, Payton might be a guy to keep him straight.....I personally would like to see this happen, will it? Prob not! |

Re: shockey to saints?
dave.. id love to see it too.. if we got shockey it would take alot of pressure of of colston and give us a force over the middle of the field and also keep the LBs from spying on reggie out of the backfield...
