I don't disagree, but I would still like to give Jared Gaither a once over if we restucture Harper or Brees.

Nnamdi signed for 1.35M
The Eagles are still going to pay him 4M

Nnamdi just wanted to go to SF, for what ever reason.

Gaither would have to be given a contract of you play, you pay - very incentive-based contract; as a veteran, he's not likely to take that deal...

But to sign him or McKinnie to a guaranteed contract is wasted cap space...

We will probably sign a couple of veterans after the first week of the season that way their contract isn't guaranteed...

Bengals release Jason Allen

Allen, 29, signed with the Bengals as a free agent after playing six years with Miami and Houston. He was the 16th overall pick by Miami in the 2006 draft.

He missed the preseason and the first two games of the season because of an injured thigh. He played in a 38-31 win over Washington, getting a pair of tackles, then was inactive for the next nine games due in part to the thigh injury.

He also missed the final game of the regular season and a first-round playoff loss to Houston.

Cincinnati Bengals cut Jason Allen, host Karlos Dansby on visit - ESPN

FS/CB coming out of college and might be a cheap one year pick up

Durability would be a concern for me with Allen.

I had a feeling thats where he'd end up. Ozzie is still tight with Alabama so I'm sure he got quite a bit of inside info on how or why this kid went from a good kid to thug in such a short time.

Ozzie also won't take any crap off of him and if he acts a fool, he'll be gone.

Hey, while Newsome was busy signing McClain, Mickey was stealing Smith.

It works both ways but makes little sense.

Both players have been bust so far. With that said, I would have loved to have gotten McClain down here for a visit. McClain's road to a possible starting job was much better in Baltimore with their vacancies at the LB position. It would make much more sense for him to go there then take less money and have a harder time competing for a job here.

Nothing was stolen from us. It was never ours to begin with. Please don't use McClain to further your anti-Loomis agenda. It's getting old. We get it, you don't like Loomis. He sucks.

Loomis get outmaneuvered, overpaying in trades, not getting enough in trades, not matching the level of Coach Payton on the field is getting old...

He should geaux to the Hornets...and stay there...

Okay Mickey...you sent a fourth round pick and a third round pick for Vilma...

Re: 2013 Saints - Free Agency Targets

Should we trade Chris Ivory, I want the NYJ third round pick this year, and a conditional pick in next year's draft (High Performance, 2014 4 round pick - not so good 2014 6 round pick)...

It seems like we're overpaying in trades and giving away players for little compensation...

Ivory is a beast that needs playing time; we acquired him, developed him and we must start coming out with compensation like we gave in the Jon Vilma and Jeremy Shockey deals...

Maake Kemoeatu would make a lot of sense to rotate in with Bunkley. Is he asking too much, or are we on hold waiting to see what happens in the draft? I'd take Brandon Williams over Kemoeatu.

Probably after the draft, we will be able to see what we have - also, players may have soften their stance and will not have had to geaux through OTA...

It all depends on what they actually do when the time to iron out the contract comes around, at present it's just talk.

Do you think 3 million will get you a LT, RT and a backup OC?

It won't even touch a decent LT.
