The 2013 team wasn't good?
I will say the offense is becoming more concerning over time, I attribute most of this due to the lack of off-season focus on the O-line. In the years that our offense was considered unmatched we had a offensive line that was pro-bowl worthy. We have not built/had a good o-line since 2013. People have aged and we have failed to address it with any new additions through the draft or free agency. Ireland is the best thing to happen to this team in years, I think the last few drafts have yielded favorable results for the defense. The attention needs to be turned to the O-line now, I believe Payton knows they made a mistake waiting to address it. Long story short, Payton's season, this team's season, will depend on the offensive line and it's ability to keep Brees out of danger. For once the defense might be respectable. |

I think alot of cracks were papered ober in 13. A fair few wins were very slim and some of the defeats bad, with some really bad playcalling late (pats) got rin over by the Jets and Rams. Obviosly 11-5 is good but i think the team was already on a diwnward spiral

Do what you always done. Get what you always got. I love Sean and hope he stays. It's a cultural change that's needed We need a spark plug / fire cracker type personality of influence. Whether it be a player or a coach.

You aren't paying attention. Despite all the upgrades we made at nearly every position, and finishing 7-9 last year, we're obviously gonna finish with less than 5 wins. /sarcasm
We have way too many fan-pussies on this site. |

It amazes me how many people play the moral high ground card just before the season starts, and a few games into the season, if it isn't going well, THEN it's cool to say as many negative things as you feel like. Provided it aligns with your own negative feelings. If it's a different negative feeling, then the other guy is just a wuss. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

If you asked me right now how I feel about this team I would say I think this may be the worst team we have fielded under SP. I Keep praying Barnes comes in and makes the oline good enough. That would fix a lot right there. So it is possible that if the oline is serviceable we could salvage a 10-6 season with playoff run , but from preseason it looks terrible, really terrible. There is not one person on this board that should feel bad about their outlook on the team right now or expressing it, and if you don't believe me look at the bags under SP's eyes, we are not alone |
Your team stinks
