To say who is out there to get is a dumb as thing to say there is always somebody out there. Just a few off the top of the head . Josh McDaniel's, Sean mcdermott, Nick Sabah,Bob Stoops,Urban Meyer,Tom Coughlin, wade Phillips, etc there is guys out there that would be lining up to take the job so to say who is out there is just Dumb cause if they wanna make a change they will have a guy to do it. The NFL is a what have you done for me lately thing and Sean hasn't done alot lately so it could happen. I feel it's time but until Tom Benson feels it's time. Sean will be here as much as we may suck that decision is Tom Benson's and his people.
Coaches have been fired for a lot less hell Marty Schotenhiemer was fired after a 14-2 year let's be serious.Tom Coughlin fired after he won two Superbowl. The great Chuck knoll fired as well bottom line if you don't win youll be unemployed sooner or later just a matter of time

I see them staring the season 3-6 finishing around 5-11 so yeah it may be time

You know that it's just a question the OP has posed, right? You don't ask this kind of question AFTER the season. That's not how predictions work, and I assume you know that.

For someone who used to have catastrophe syndrome around the clock in this site, you sure like to complain about others. It's great to be positive, but for crap sake... Relax. It's just a preseason thread.

We have way too many fan-pussies on this site.
We might be 12-4 and we might by 6-10... Who knows? This isn't the first offseason that this team brought in a bunch of new players. The last time didn't work so well. You have no idea how these guys will play together until we see it in a real game. We don't have much to go on in pre-season, but the little we get to see hasn't indicated much on the positive side, other than the defense looking generally improved.

It amazes me how many people play the moral high ground card just before the season starts, and a few games into the season, if it isn't going well, THEN it's cool to say as many negative things as you feel like. Provided it aligns with your own negative feelings. If it's a different negative feeling, then the other guy is just a wuss.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

very good post. absolutely true. No one knows how the season will go, no one is saying throw in the towel, and we all hope we pull it together, but from what we have seen in the preseason it look as bad as the start of the last two seasons.

If you asked me right now how I feel about this team I would say I think this may be the worst team we have fielded under SP. I Keep praying Barnes comes in and makes the oline good enough. That would fix a lot right there. So it is possible that if the oline is serviceable we could salvage a 10-6 season with playoff run , but from preseason it looks terrible, really terrible.

There is not one person on this board that should feel bad about their outlook on the team right now or expressing it, and if you don't believe me look at the bags under SP's eyes, we are not alone

Your team stinks

This thread will be fun to refer back to and maybe keep alive throughout the season.

Certainly. The idea that anyone on this board is giving an honest assessment of what they have seen of the team is somehow negative just to be negative is absurd. We all hope for the best because we are all Saints fans, but you can't look at how we dominated the 2009 Preseason and then look at how absolutely horrid we have been this preseason and pretend that neither matter. Preseason by no way dictates the season, I agree, but the sloppy play and the oline looking like an open gate does not instill confidence. Plus, this is a team that has had back to back 7-9 seasons, and looked exactly how we look in preseason to start the last two years. It is becoming trend. Can we have a winning season, of course. Can we do that if the play of the oline remains the same, absolutely not. There are real concerns with this team, real concerns, and none of them are more worrisome then what we have seen from the oline. Better hope Barnes starts at guard and helps it because right now we look like shat, absolute shat.

For the record there are people running around on here somehow pretending this is the 09-11 team, and have some false sense of bravado. None better than the reply to a post about how you could recognize this team was not ready for the season because SP had the starters playing the first quarter of the 4rth preseason game- "Eh payton just wants to show we still got it". delusional.
