Dennis Allen may very well dictate the course of this entire franchise for the next ten years. If we have another losing season because we once again have the worst D in the League I don't see how this regime can be given a pass.
Maybe Payton will be able survive another failed DC but Brees ain't going out a loser. He has one more on his contract, if he believes his best chance to get another ring lies elsewhere I wouldn't be surprised to see him for it. And I'd be pulling for him to get it. |

These moves shouldve been made LONG ago. Those top 3 assistants have been underperforming at least for the last 4 years but we all know why SP kept them on board. As a matter of fact, I haven't seen anything definituve that says that it was even SP that pulled the trigger on those firings. Maybe the upper brass decided that the only way they were gonna keep SP is if he agreed to let those 3 go. Maybe they're finally reading our posts
