We have no depth behind the ageless wonder Zach Strief... We have three (3) offensive tackles on the roster and one of them, Peat, is the starting LG, Armstead has had a propensity to injury in his young career, and then there's a 33 yo right tackle... Look at our offensive line now, with that one selection... SAINTS OFFENSIVE LINE DEPTH CHART - 2017 NFL Draft LT (2) 72 - Terron Armstead, 65 - Ryan Ramcyzk (R1, P32) LG (2) 75 - Andrus Peat, 73 - John Fullington, 78 - Landon Turner C (2) 60 - Max Unger, 66 - Jack Allen RG (2) 67 - Larry Warford, 65 - Senio Kelemete RT (2) 64 - Zach Strief, 65 - Ryan Ramcyzk (R1, P32) Now, Peat can prepare all week at LG and not have to go through all the last minute adjustments he had last season... And I'm not sold on Warford, that's why I really wanted to spend the wee little bit extra and secure Kevin Zeitler... Now we may still have to seriously consider Dan Feeney in the second round... |

Re: Despite defensive needs, Saints pick offensive tackle at No. 32
Would anyone consider moving up after pick 42?
Just thinking say you get Cunningham or McDowell there and the other and another pass rusher is on the board would throw both 3s at someone looking to move down to get back into the 2nd |

But you didn't have the bottom of the league defense for three to four years in a row.

Re: Despite defensive needs, Saints pick offensive tackle at No. 32
The more I ponder this pick, the more I like it. They didn't reach for a player, nor did they move up and lose picks. After getting the #1 CB, the Saints stayed at 32 and picked up a #1 or #2 OT. We needed depth and maybe even a starter on the line. I don't think anyone will argue how important it is to protect Drew Brees in the next few years.
As much as I wanted Foster, this pick feels safe and successful. We've done pretty well with Big 10 O linemen in the past. Now let's go get Tim Williams, Zach Cunningham, Curtis Samuel, and Jordan Legget. |

We were all saying the team needed pass rushers and secondary; they grab the best CB in the draft and everyone *******... I just don't get it
Pass rusher is a certainty today; as well |

Niners don't believe Reuben Foster needs another surgery - NFL.com
That would of made sense, for those who want to complain about Lattimores hamstring |

Only time will tell. I don't hate the pick. I mean We aren't a team that drafts on needs we have been a BPA with that in mind I do like the pick. Lets hope they hit homeruns and make the team.
