Former Florida WR Antonio Callaway -- who some considered as talented as any WR in this draft -- tested positive for marijuana at the combine, NFL sources told ESPN.

Callaway’s new agent Malki Kawa said it was for a diluted sample. Callaway hired Kawa about two weeks ago.

One of the wild cards in the 2018 NFL Draft is Boston College defensive end Harold Landry. Some teams have graded him as a second-rounder, but in a draft without 32 players who have graded out as first-round picks, some second-round players will go on Thursday night. Landry is definitely in contention to be one of those players in a weak draft for pass-rushers. In speaking to sources with a number of playoff teams, Landry is definitely in contention for their first-round pick. The Patriots, Saints and Steelers all have Landry in the running to be their selection according to sources. The tape of him rushing the passer in 2016 is what is getting him consideration in the back half of the first round.

Still, sources from teams that like Landry and have him in the running have concerns about him being a bust. "There's a big hole with Landry and just a minimal track record of successful NFL rushers at his size with his athletic profile, but he's got some d*** good tape," said one top evaluator at a playoff team.

Landry at 27? ... nice.

Landry is a sub-package pass rusher. Go back and watch the games where he actually faced some legit competition. He lacks the sand to set the edge in the run game. He has one basic rush move and against NFL tackles, they will bury him in the dirt. Injury prone, he's a little healthier than Hau'oli Kikaha which is very much the same player...

Derwin James top 10. Frank Ragnow Round 1. Maurice Hurst day 3. That's all the latest buzz from the draft world.

And to add my own take to it... Derwin James goes 7th to Tampa and Frank Ragnow goes 21st to Cincinnati.

Shut down corners are hard to find & he has elite, playmaking ability. Someone will gamble on him. Happens every year.

No way I thought we were getting Lattimore. Still surreal that happened IMO. Amazing steals 10-15 because I don't see any of these QB's doing anything just like last year. Even Barkley is way overrated. Great combine but body of work is suspect and nowhere near a Barry Sanders or even Fournette.

I see us getting a couple of starters again. Much much value late. TE, DB and also RB. I hope we can snag Kalen Barrage in the 5th or 6th. That dude looks scary close to Kamara minus some receiving skills.

I understand what you're saying, but look how skilled a cornerback Marcus Peters is and what Kansas City had to lose in trade to get him off the team...

Totally agree. Just don't see drafting a five-six year career position with a first round pick. Barkley especially. Hope the other kids draft him...

And you helped make the case of exactly why we don't need Barrage - if you can't catch in a SP offense you can keep moving down the draft...

Plus Detiller made the case against him by comparing him to Swilling - a 3-4 OLB, which he's right to do; Landry is not what we need now - maybe in the second round when we were putting in a 3-4...

We need to stay the course and keep adding true 4-3 DE, DTs - Taven Bryan (if he falls now), Sam Hubbard, Breeland Speaks should be our targets...

To be consistent with my criticism as I was with Rashaan Evans, Dallas Goedert played some of that late Draft Process drama by refusing to compete, participate playing it safe on agent's advice...

Goedert has great hands and adjustments on the ball, but to take a TE with a first round pick, I'd prefer a total, more complete athletic TE, which is why Gesicki rates higher...

Goedert has the potential to be lights out - but at this point, it's more potential and I'd like to have seen him willing to compete more in the draft process rather than play it safe like Evans has...

From what I'm seeing consistently about Hughes in draft reports, he and agent are just in robotic response mode of "that's all in the past, we've moving forward" re: his off-the-field bullshinski...

If Sean Payton is to be believed (he's been trying to revise history with re: Reuben Foster) the Saints should be asking the question to Hughes and agent - "Why is this in the past and what steps have been taken so Hughes behaviour won't continue to be a distraction?" - and they're not answering that part, at least not where it's leaked publicly which it should have by now...

Mike D knows a lot of people, allows himself to be used as a bullhorn for prospective players and their agents for inside scoop - that's how it works - but like the King of 3rd party scouts, Kiper, he has to play to his base and I'd question him in private on some of these takes he's printed...

I didn't say Barrage can't catch, just didn't get many in that offense, sort of like Fournette who can actually catch. The ones Barrage did get, he looked very similar in style to Kamara. I wouldn't even call him a flyer in the draft. He'll get drafted in the 5th IMO.

It’s starting to look like a VERY real possibility that WR Calvin Ridley could still be available when we pick. I’ve seen a few draft analysts speculate about this and when I run through how the first round could play out I’m seeing it as well.

If we somehow manage to get Ridley then forget about it... We win the draft.

Re: 2018 NFL Draft Prospects - Saints

Lots of good WR's this draft. Not Julio caliber but solid slot guys and press beaters. Gallup, Hamilton, Miller are a few I think will have immediate impacts for teams. Not really a need for us but I could see it late if they are the best available. If Ridley is there at 27 though, it would be hard to pass on him. Actually it would be stupid to do so.

It all just depends on what kind of WR the teams who could use one in the first round are looking for. Teams could be looking for more of an X-receiver whereas Ridley is a flanker. Also, are there other positions that WR-needy teams just see more value in for the first round?

I’ve heard that a team like the Panthers, who could use a WR, prefers DJ Moore.

Stinger? The kid doesn't have a medical history so I'm curious what this all means in the grand scheme of his draft status.

Much ado about nothing?

On the eve of the big day, draft guru Mike Mayock drops his one and only mock draft. The New Orleans Saints select...

27. D.J. Moore - WR, Maryland
An explosive offense just got better with my No. 1 receiver in this draft. He's a little bit raw, but I love the pick at 27.

Bears have got to take a Wide Receiver; Kevin White's a bust and they just let Cam Meredith walk...

Calvin Ridley is being touted as this generation's Marvin Harrison - Bears need a WR for Trubiskey...

Ian Rapoport
@RapSheet
The #Saints have made plenty of calls about making a big leap up from pick No. 27, I’m told. Could be due diligence in case a certain player (perhaps a QB) falls. But they will be well-prepared to move tonight if it comes down to it.

No NFL team who has done homework will gamble on Arden prior to Day 3 or even 4. His absence from Baton Rouge & commitment to the team, subsequent weight issues are real concerns for a lot of NFL scouts.

Good luck to him though.
