Mike Thomas, Kamara, Jackson ... that's a lot of firepower on offense. If Lamar is there at 27 ... what do you do?
You know I’m pulling the trigger. Payton is ready for a new offense.

Does Lamar Jackson have a NOODLE ARM? And would he actually play this year with Brees still slinging it good?

Jackson has a strong arm (we won't confuse his arm strength with Vick or Favre but solid) to go vertical. See below. WR catches the ball in stride.

Payton’s been pretty forthcoming with the media since his daughter’s been trying to break into the business. I guess you have to take Jackson right? If we did though I would try like heck to get into the 2nd round for an instant impact player since Jackson would be sitting.

I'd like to see a mobile QB in Payton's system. In my mind, most of the QB's in the draft are "projects" to a certain extent. Most of these guys need a year or two to emerge. Payton is still one of the best innovators of offense in the game. If he sees Jackson can learn the system, work on accuracy, mental aspects (being able to audible, read defenses etc), I'm all for it.

Sean polished up Tony Romo pretty well .

I've been hoping for defensive player, particularly the Dline, that could start day 1, but if Jackson's still there at 27, he'd be a great pick up and it would be fun to see what Payton could do with him.

Pro Day March 27: Appalachian State, Texas A&M & Mississippi | Draft Analyst

I spoke with several people who are still buzzing about the workout of Sam Houston State defensive tackle PJ Hall. We posted his numbers yesterday and I’ve spoken with some over the past 24 hours who have confided they believe Hall had one of the best pro-day workouts of any non-combine defensive line prospect from the past ten years. Hall tested well then transfered that athleticism in position drills, easily moving around the field and looking good in zone drop drills. This comes as no surprise to anyone at SHSU as Hall entered the school's football program as a 260 pound tight end.

Hall, who was dominant for three days of Shrine practice, measured 6004 and 308 pounds. He touched an impressive 38 inches in the vertical jump, reached 9-foot-8 in the broad jump and completed 36 reps on the bench.

His first 40 time clocked under 4.8 (4.76 on a few watches) into the wind while his second attempt, with the wind, was under 4.7 (4.68 on a few watches).

"When you get into one of these groups, there's only a couple of ways you can get out. One, is death; the other, is mental institutions."

"Payne" ... a solid run stuffer & deceptively quick for a man of his size. Fast forward to 5:26 ... you think Sean Payton can't use a guy like this on 3rd and goal ?

This CB looks like a late-round target of ours...

Herbie Teope
@HerbieTeope
Source confirms the #Saints will host Cincinnati CB Linden Stephens on a predraft visit, as @AaronWilson_NFL reported. Visit scheduled to occur in mid-April and Saints also met with Stephens, who has sub 4.4 40-yard dash speed, night before Pro Day, I'm told.

Surprised there hasn’t been more discussion on Fred Warner(LB, BYU)

Day 2-3 guy who could be a perfect WILL for the Saints. Flying under the radar for sure thus far. Check em out if ya haven’t
