Vick lost few games in college and was every bit the runner Lamar Jackson is with a stronger arm. Heck as a freshman he led the nation in passing efficiency. If Vick played in a spread offense like Jackson? Besides Taysom Hill might be faster than both of them plus he weighs 225 and has a strong arm too. I think he's gonna get a shot to be the backup QB this year and Brees successor in 3 years after Brees sets every NFL passing record which make no mistake he intends to do. We won't draft Lamar Jackson.

Lamar just needs to understand running should be his last option in the NFL. Can he make those throws consistently in the pocket? No clue here. If there is a coach who can polish (see Tony Romo) Lamar up, I think it's Sean P.

Side note - I didn't agree with Bill Polian & his analysis (thinks LJ should switch positions to WR & doesn't have the size to be effective etc). The kid won a Heisman as a QB & he's every bit of 6'3

My concern would be accuracy but the tools are definitely there.

But do guys ever really recover from that kind of tear?

Most pectoral tears take more than a year to recover, and that's with very regimented post-op physical therapy...
