Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
This is true. But he was "convicted" already in Goodell's mind. That is part of the reason why players wouldn't be as easily arbitrarily placed upon the list after Tagliabue's reprimand.

I mean, if these are our options... who would you really want? We rolling out Tommylee again?! |

Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
Okay, I would just like to say that I like that the Saints are at least kicking the tires on this.
That type of talent can be a huge add for the playoffs. Simply put, I like that they are considering all options and not just saying "Hey, we're good going into the playoffs". |

Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
From what I've heard, no one will touch him.
The brilliance in the move is it's at the end of the season and he hasn't been put on the list, so Sean Payton is forcing Goodell's hand. What's going to happen? Your guess is as good as anyone's. I know AB cannot return to the Patriots over that tirade he put on social media about Kraft. Sean Payton is the only other coach who may be able to handle AB because, frankly, we may go to the SuperBowl without AB - we aren't desperate for him. Other teams and coaches are too weak or would need AB to perform some miracle. Saints really don't need him, but if we got him it may mean the Saints offense would be more powerful than ever. If AB screws up, he would be cut immediately. Great Friday drama though.... |

Re: Antonio Brown at Saints Facility
Yeah, now that he worked out with the Saints, a few teams have stepped forward. Seattle "needs" him more than we do. I just think it was a brilliant move by the front office to call Goodell's bluff. Waited until the end of the year, Goodell swore he would put Antonio Brown on the ban list if anyone tried to pick him up during the season, but forgot to mention anything about the "off season."
