Re: 2020 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
DT3 (2) 93 - David Onyemata (FA 2020), 99 - Shy Tuttle, 98 - Sheldon Rankins, 70 - Mitchell Loewen (RFC 2020)
I really like this bunch. When healthy, the D line is a force. What is it, 2 years and running that we have a dominant run stopping defense? |

Re: 2020 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
LCB (2) 20 - Janoris Jenkins, P. J. Williams (FA 2020)
PJ has been up and down for us however Nick Underhill had a interesting stat on him. "PJ Williams covered a TE on 83 snaps last year. He was targeted five times, gave up 2 receptions for 12 yards. Williams covered a TE 61 times in 2018. He gave up 2 catches for 22 yards". |

Re: 2020 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
Has there been anything official on Ruiz taking the Center position?
I am under the assumption that Ruiz will take over for Warford. It would make more sense to leave Mccoy at center in my opinion. |

Of course, nothing could be seen as "official" until they line up at practice. |

Re: 2020 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
I know Sean Payton has his ways on motivating players but are we really certain Warford is all but gone? This is a contract year for him and guys usually "rise up" to the challenge when they expect to get paid.
With our current crisis, there will be no OTA's for Ruiz to get acclimated to his new role. IMO that is risky for any rookie. Especially at center. I'd hold on to Larry ... at least through mid season training camp. |

Re: 2020 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
I'd hate to get into the tournament and then make the switch of McCoy to Guard and Ruiz to Center...
Ruiz keeping his jersey no. in the 50s is significant, because according to NFL Rules, he's got to be a center (but he can be a center/guard)... That said, if there's going to be a change, it will happen up front, that way the offensive line will have get seasoned and will gel so things are clicking come tournament time... |
