Cutting or trading Thomas this season would result in a $20 million cap hit because of accelerated guarantees and bonuses. He cannot be traded or released (even if they would ever dream to do either) this year. Next year would still cost the Saints $14 million in dead cap which the Saints will not have, especially if Brees decides to retire. 2022 is the earliest that they can separate from Thomas if they even wanted to. All they could do is sit him and continue paying him and that would be as ridiculous as your goofy assed scenario.

I'm sorry but you have no sense of reality.

Edit: By the way, what the hell is a kwan?
Here's a little reality for ya.... poor babbette got his fweelings hurt...

I don’t discount the possibility of a rift, quite possibly a serious rift, between CGM and the Saints, as a team, or from an organizational standpoint. And, it’s entirely possible it’s his last year here, I just didn’t see him being traded at this very minute, before the trade deadline. I like the guy bc of how dominating he is on the field and the Saints have missed him playing, regardless of record. But if he’s gone next year, I won’t lose any sleep, that’s a guarantee! Player’s move around the league for many reasons. You won’t catch me being a “homer” for any active player or coach. Every player is a cost benefit analysis. Every. Single. Player. And coach also, lol. Regardless, you may prove correct, I don’t know..., I just see the very obvious reasons why trading him immediately is a very, very, tough call.

Some people just don't let facts stand in the way of that hate, either.

Not true. Every single thing CNN reports is 100% fact with no bias whatsoever.

Yep. I heard on CNN that the Saints had a deal done to trade Thomas but for Russian interference.

I thought we wanted to keep politics out of football. I mean, who actually watches CNN? Get your news the old fashioned way.......read it. And not on Fakebook.
