I am so positive that you are wrong that I want to collect some salad over it. If you were as sure as you say you would do the same. I suspect that you know you are wrong and not willing to lose $20. I'll give you a break and go $10.

Oh, by the way, Michael Thomas is back at practice today. No surprise.

Ok. I got it. You clearly have no confidence behind what you are claiming. Perhaps you finally realized the Saints take a $20 million cap hit if Thomas is traded or cut. In other words, he can't go anywhere else right now.

Sure would have liked your money. Just being right with no reward gets old.

By the way, why do you care one way or another if you claim you aren't watching any games?

Although, it would explain why you are so out of touch with reality.

Keep dreaming ... dude. Have you ever heard of a salary cap? Do you have a clue how it even works?

Cutting or trading Thomas this season would result in a $20 million cap hit because of accelerated guarantees and bonuses. He cannot be traded or released (even if they would ever dream to do either) this year. Next year would still cost the Saints $14 million in dead cap which the Saints will not have, especially if Brees decides to retire. 2022 is the earliest that they can separate from Thomas if they even wanted to. All they could do is sit him and continue paying him and that would be as ridiculous as your goofy assed scenario.

I'm sorry but you have no sense of reality.

Edit: By the way, what the hell is a kwan?

I happen to agree with you here, I just don’t see CGM going anywhere. That being said..., when any of us forumites have questioned the machinations of Loomis/Payton wrt managing the cap, some guy named AsylumGuido always sticks his head in and laughs at us, lol. Telling us that we don’t understand how great they are at doing the impossible when it comes to “kicking the can” down the proverbial road.

This is true, but that road travel two ways. You can kick it up road if extending or restructuring a player. But, that can comes barreling straight downhill into your face if you attempt to cut ties with that player too early in the contract.

They talked about this very scenario on Moving the Chains a couple of days ago when a caller suggested the Falcons should trade Julio Jones. They said that it was impossible to trade him until 2022 because of his contract cap hit, which is very similar to Thomas'. The same with Matt Ryan.
