Only an on the field heart attack would have stopped him from scoring. We could also say that a wide open Sanders trying to stretch for an TH#7 overthrown ball cost us “big time”. The win was there to be had my friend, the team just didn’t take it. All three portions of it.
I’m not blaming CJG for making a stop and forcing a punt only for Taysom Hill to drive down the field and fumble on 4th and 2. It’s not the defenses responsibility to put points on the board, that’s just a plus if they do. Up to that point it was:

Eagles punt.
Saints TD.
Eagles punt.
Saints TD

CJG gets a big stop on 3rd and 5 regardless if it was intercepted or not and forces a third straight punt. The offense failed to produce when it mattered the most. Even a field goal in that situation changes the game. But nah, fumble. Not to mention...this is a mobile QB. MAKE TIME. ROLL OUT. SCRAMBLE. FORCE THE DEFENSE INTO ZONE COVERAGE AND THEN PICK IT APART.
