Brees did do better...

Brees put in the work with early AM film room sessions and he understood how the QB could make the WRs, TEs, RBs, and O-linemen's job easier with the details better QBing...

I do. With the weapons and their performance that Simeon had the last two games and the Kicking/Penalties/Defensive breakdowns the team loses those 2 games with Brees same way they did with Simeon.

Why are you bringing up Winston? He’s hurt in case you haven’t heard i.e. “Water under the bridge”. You know who most of Winston’s completions were to? Kamara. You know who Simeon didn’t have last game? Kamara. No impact their either in your mind I guess 🙄. That being said, I’d rather have winston as QB as well. The point was about inserting Taysom Hill as QB and if he would make a difference.

Re: Trevor Siemian

If Taysom is at QB, you may as well deactivate Kamara the rest of the way, because he's completely useless in this offense with Hill at QB.

He either rockets a pass at Kamara's face from 5 yards away, keeps a choice play when he should give it Alvin or just ignores him completely.

Not saying Taysom doesn't add a spark sometimes because he does, but he was very lucky he played the Falcons and Broncos in his starts last season. The defense had 8+ sacks in both Falcons games and Taysom almost lost the second one with 2 untimely fumbles.

Either way, it's all Paytons decision, Trautman needs to go though, which is something I think we can all agree on. Juwan Johnson should be the starter at TE

Re: Trevor Siemian

I like Trevor under center a little better than Winston. Trevor hasn’t thrown a pick, he seems kool in the pocket and I like his delivery. His accuracy needs a little fine tuning if can. Knowing when to throw the ball away vs taking a sack should be point of emphasis.
His biggest advantage over Jameis to me is, Jameis gives me mistake waiting to happen vibes. The same kinda vibes Jared Cook gave me with the ball in his hands with a defender trailing. I can’t be the only one that’s see’s Jameis being a bit rattled when bodies are around him. When he’s under duress, silly decisions are made. Trevor just seems more relaxed.
I guarantee that IF Jameis didn’t have a season ending injury and the team didn’t make crucial mistakes around Trevor the last two games. There would definitely be a QB controversy.

Agreed, Jameis played well for the most part, but he always gave me that chaotic QB feeling when he dropped back.

Re: Trevor Siemian

It’s no secret I believed in Winston. Maybe still do. I think it’s fair to point out that he never had a full camp/preseason with the starters. Last year was COVID and he was third string. This year was the storm that forced them to move and he still had to split starting reps with Hill. Add to this overall subpar talent/performance at skill positions (keep in mind this is the same group of receivers etc MINUS Sanders, Cook, and Thomas) plus subpar o-line play and I think Winston has been held back greatly from his potential. Just my feel on it.

Actually that's on Sean to make that work; and for what I've seen, it'd be easy and better for Kamara to move him out in space for mismatches (see SEA game, TB game)...

Taysom could easily deliver the ball to Kamara past the line of scrimmage and Kamara could do his amazing YAC performance...

I to wanted Jameis to be great and have success. The guy has been a winner on the field throughout his football career. We had a Heisman trophy winning, #1 overall NFL selected, 5000 yd club QB as our starting QB. And was paying him peanuts. His expectations were higher because of who he was.
But the guy that replaced him had to deal with those same conditions but as a backup with far less reps.

My thoughts exactly! And as a couple of other guys have posted, I think Siemian looks more relaxed and seems to go through his reads a bit more. At least it seems that way. I feel more confident when he's behind center. Not sure what the team feels.

Then again I'm just an intelligent, overachieving and down right handsome fan that watches from my couch. What the hell do I know?

Wrong! Winston had 14 TD passes when he got injured. Most of them were NOT to Kamara. Armah caught one Winston TD. Harris caught two Winston TD's. Juwan Johnson caught three Winston TD's. Hogan caught one Winston TD. Callaway caught three Winston TD's.

As for having the same outcome the last two games with Brees as QB instead of Siemian ... Oh. My. God. You seriously do not have a clue.

What you are implying is that Siemian is just as good a QB as was Brees. What the hell are you smoking, Boston?
