Re: Trevor Siemian
Football_reference.com shows the Saints as having 17 total drops on the season. Kamara leads the team with five drops. (Does that mean Kamara sucks?) Trautman is second with four. Tre'Quan has two drops and nobody else has more than one. This is current through week 10.
I've seen more in the past three weeks with Siemian delivering the ball than in the previous six weeks on the season. |

What's shocking is that Trautman is barely 5 or 10% of our offense and still has nearly as many drops as Kamara does. I think those stats are incorrect, Kenny Stills has 2 drops in the past 2 weeks alone. |

Re: Trevor Siemian
If Taysom is at QB, you may as well deactivate Kamara the rest of the way, because he's completely useless in this offense with Hill at QB.
He either rockets a pass at Kamara's face from 5 yards away, keeps a choice play when he should give it Alvin or just ignores him completely. Not saying Taysom doesn't add a spark sometimes because he does, but he was very lucky he played the Falcons and Broncos in his starts last season. The defense had 8+ sacks in both Falcons games and Taysom almost lost the second one with 2 untimely fumbles. Either way, it's all Paytons decision, Trautman needs to go though, which is something I think we can all agree on. Juwan Johnson should be the starter at TE |

Taysom could easily deliver the ball to Kamara past the line of scrimmage and Kamara could do his amazing YAC performance... |

Re: Trevor Siemian
I like Trevor under center a little better than Winston. Trevor hasn’t thrown a pick, he seems kool in the pocket and I like his delivery. His accuracy needs a little fine tuning if can. Knowing when to throw the ball away vs taking a sack should be point of emphasis.
His biggest advantage over Jameis to me is, Jameis gives me mistake waiting to happen vibes. The same kinda vibes Jared Cook gave me with the ball in his hands with a defender trailing. I can’t be the only one that’s see’s Jameis being a bit rattled when bodies are around him. When he’s under duress, silly decisions are made. Trevor just seems more relaxed. I guarantee that IF Jameis didn’t have a season ending injury and the team didn’t make crucial mistakes around Trevor the last two games. There would definitely be a QB controversy. |

Re: Trevor Siemian
It’s no secret I believed in Winston. Maybe still do. I think it’s fair to point out that he never had a full camp/preseason with the starters. Last year was COVID and he was third string. This year was the storm that forced them to move and he still had to split starting reps with Hill. Add to this overall subpar talent/performance at skill positions (keep in mind this is the same group of receivers etc MINUS Sanders, Cook, and Thomas) plus subpar o-line play and I think Winston has been held back greatly from his potential. Just my feel on it.

But the guy that replaced him had to deal with those same conditions but as a backup with far less reps. |
