Randy Moss 2.0?

He's a burner with SIZE.

Re: 2022 NFL Draft: Draft Prospects, Scouting

The Saints haven’t used their first pick on a player with a sub-9.0 Relative Athletic Score (http://ras.football/) in the last five years. Ok, Erik McCoy had a 8.97 but he was a second round pick since we didn’t have a first. Last year, EVERY pick except Ian Book was 9.0+.

So who could we target this year? It seems WR or O-Line are the positions talked about the most so here are the guys that score 9.0+:

WR
Isaiah Weston
Christian Watson
Kevin Austin
Alec Pierce
Tyquan Thornton
Ty Fryfogle

OT
Trevor Penning
Matt Waletzko
Bernhard Raimann
Kellen Diesch
Zach Tom
Abraham Lucas

OG
Cole Strange
Nick Zakelj
Blaise Andries
Zion Johnson
Chris Paul
Chasen Hines

OC
Dawson Deaton
Cameron Jurgens
Luke Wattenberg

This doesn’t include Jameson Williams or Evan Neal because of no workout numbers.

Combine this with the lack of route running proficiency and what exactly is the appeal of Treylon Burks??

NT John Ridgeway news, it's not a great bench press performance for a NT...

Have you seen his TAPE at Arkansas? He's running away from SEC talent. Sure got "open a lot" against Bama.

Some people are putting way too much stock into his 40 and vertical. On game day, I see him making plays.

Coach him up. See Cooper Kupp (short vertical, 4.6 40) & Michael Thomas (considered a turtle on running routes). Route running specialist & dawgs. Trust the tape.

Scouts get it wrong a lot too.

While I do put stock in SPARQ, there's game film and perspective - Jerry Rice ran a 4.59 40 yd dash according to Bill Walsh...

Not someone that I had heard much about before but that was a good read. Might be a sleeper pick if aviable in the later rounds.

First he skipped the bowl game, now he's ducking performance tests - starting to have doubts of Burks...

lol.

For what it's worth, there is a sports analyst "expert" by the name of Brendan Donahue who many consider one of the more accurate mock draft analyst(s) over the last 3-5 years.

His latest mock have us selecting ...

Chris Olave @ #18 :p.

We shall see.

That Randy Moss reincarnation, Christian Watson, North Dakota State, 6-4, 208, looks good too!

That's funny right there.

Not sure if you checked out any of the Senior bowl, but Christian was impressive. TALL, rangy & break away speed.

I think he's a Day 2 selection.

Paps, Don't ever give up or give in on your guy - Want us to rebuild the O-line, am I'm rolling with Trevor Penning to pair with Ryan Ramczyk...

Howell was pretty darn good last year, and many of the weapons he had drafted well in last year's draft - Howell is very comparable to Mayfield...

At pick #18 or possibly the middle rounds?

I hope he limits the "running" at the next level though.

Sam has a strong arm. Probably the best in this draft class.
