I can't like, I think I'd pay Jacobs. Running Backs aren't that costly. I like Damien Harris as a power back. David Montgomery is interesting. James Robinson. I see plenty of value in free agency at the RB position.

Re: Official 2023 OFFSEASON Thread
I wouldn't be surprised to see either James Hurst, Granderson or Lutz cut this off-season. If the Saints want to compete on getting DCarr, you're probably going to need 70M+ in the kitty before the start of the league year.
And DCarr is definitely not waiting until early June before signing a new contract. IMO some of the tough choices should have been made in 2021/22. This "win now " bullshinky nonsense needs to stop. The Saints are years away from truly competing. On the flip side, I understand (win now) because Allen wants to keep his job. Make it make sense. |

Re: Official 2023 OFFSEASON Thread
It's only going to take around $12 to $15 million of 2023 cap to bring in Carr. That's including $60 to $70 million signing bonus. We have the means to do it. That doesn't mean we will do it. Personally I hope we do because it may be twenty years until we have a shot at an equivalent QB.

Re: Official 2023 OFFSEASON Thread
Penny makes for an interesting target. Both parties would have a lot to gain here if we can get him on a cheap 1 year deal. I'd prefer to go this route than spend early draft capital on a running back.
