He came in running polished routes and looking like a pro day one. MT didn't start acting like a Diva until after his injury and it's possible he just wanted to stay relevant.![]()
After can't call Mike refused contact with the Saints coaches and training staff it left a bad taste in most fans mouths. Although, I don't think too many knowledgeable people have faith in the Saints doctors, and rightfully so with misdiagnoses being the norm rather than the exception. I used to sell medical equipment to Ochsner and the only dirtier hospital I've ever been in was the VA, which is filthy and needs immediate attention. Anyway, upon further reflection, I'm not as upset as I used to be about his not returning phone calls to the training staff. He was rushed back prematurely after the medical staff cleared him to play. When he returned he re injured himself potentially jeopardizing his career. The injury kept him off the field for a couple of years while rehabbing and when he came back strong he was a weapon for Jameis Winston before he injured his other foot and then missed the rest of the season. MT has been paid well to rehab. I hope that he clears all medicals and can play at a high level again. If we restructure his contract to keep him I would hope it is an incentive driven contract. I would hate to pay him again just to have another injury sideline him. He is not the same conditioned athlete that he was and injury tend to creep in with older players who are just getting back in the game. |

Never. You can make several claims about Thomas, but being a diva cannot be one of them in all honesty. He has one of the least "diva-ish" personalities I've seen in a WR since Colston. They have both always been quiet and reserved in front of the camera or microphone.
