And let's not forget that most of us casual fans didn't think Kaden Ellis was anything to hang a hat on until he got a chance with Werner sidelined. I'm sure the coaches knew about his capabilities. We have seven LB on the roster right now behind Davis and Werner. They can't all be busts. I'm not saying to not make a move to improve, but things may not be as dire as some may believe.
That is a valuable snippet about Kaden Ellis being an unknown until he took the field when Werner missed time last year. We are pretty good at developing players who need time and coaching to get it together. The thing is that we have better player evaluations and bring in young players who have the physical tools but need coaching and/or strength training.

Demario having an injury should allow us to see what we have behind Davis. Fortunately, it's a soft tissue injury that can heal with proper training and rehab. The Saints LB depth looks promising and the young players have had strong camps.

We finally get to see them in action this Sunday and I'm as excited as a teenager on his first date.

Re: The 2023 JeanPierre Saints Roster Depth Chart Thread

Reading about power rankings and they picked the saints at 15 supposedly because Kamara will be out 3 games. They were all worried about the saints offense without him wondering who will replace those yards. Personally I have no question that the saints will be very powerful without him. I'd rather have him - he puts fear in the opponent when he gets the ball and is valuable as a decoy for all sorts of plays. Here's a thought. Why not let Hill run Kamara's plays while he is out. He may not be as smooth as AK but he's as fast. Once he has the ball who wants to tackle him? Big as a fullback and about as fast as it gets.

Not a bad idea but I have a feeling he’d get hurt.

He's been pretty tough the last few years. I was actually referring to his route tree and catches out of the backfield. Tight end room is pretty full.

We need to designate Taysom as football player. Not a TE, QB, RB, WR,..... Taysom defines a football player.....but defies a single position.
