We are the only team that can sign Peat before June 1 without affecting their comp picks. Well, except any teams that are way in the red on comp picks anyway, and then we would get a comp pick for him. Other teams may be thinking they can wait until June and re-assess after the draft etc. Whatever happens, the worst case is if Peat waits until June and then goes elsewhere. We should use that to our advantage in negotiations.

He was oft injured, couldn't stay on the field. Great talent, not worth the chance unless he came cheap. Living in Washington, I saw he was in the media a lot and it wasn't very positive. pass

Bringing in "system guys" or players at least able to tutor players in their positional group will help.

Glad to see they finally did it, I was worried FA was all but over aside from 1 or 2 O linemen.

I dont neccessarily think we should be after a qb in the draft, but if we were, how many smokescreens would get cheaper than peterman and mond? It doesnt seem like we have spent much in financial guarantees, though I dont have the contracts in front of me.

Does no harm bringing Mond in. At worst he's in camp building some rapport with receivers and linemen. You can always cut him if you find some in the draft or a UDFA. At least if you have to bring him back during the season he's been around the players

Jaylen Ford 6-7 round
He lacks ideal anticipation to mirror the pathway of running backs and tends to be too impacted by encounters with blockers. He pursues the ball with good pace and has become a steady tackler in the open field. Ford has great hands and third-down value but might lack the consistency needed to stick on a roster long term.
