Worth noting that Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow will be released ...
Don't be surprised to see him in NOLA soon. Hunter is 28 now but is a chain mover. |

Chase Young is rumored to be visiting. https://sports.yahoo.com/pelissero-c...85759946.html?
How do you guys feel about him? Seems like another injury prone DE that isn't an every down guy. That being said, he was a presence in the last Super Bowl opposite Bosa... |

Re: Official 2024 Free Agency Discussion
The estimated projections for Chase is around 13-15M per season.
I don't think these numbers are too far off considering Davenport got close to 13M from Minny last season. Boy did they get little in return on their investment :( |

I've heard this mentioned several times recently. Not sure I'd go that direction.

I would like to see Yiadom come back. I finally learned how to spell his name.

Probably a reason why they brought in that guy from Philly for a visit. |

I think we should consider trading a couple of 5th round picks to the Bears for Fields! Nothing to lose and plenty of upside! He has nowhere else to go right now!

Re: Official 2024 Free Agency Discussion
If the organization has hitched its wagons to the Titanic, its wagons are now submarines.
As an organization we can roll over $50 million potential dead cap hits year to year on a league average QB, trade picks to prepare for a potential transition to a younger more affordable mobile QB with lots of risk but high ceiling, or pay $10m+ a year to an aging wildcat QB, but doing all at once is nonsense. If we traded for Fields he would have to be either an option to take over for Carr or an extra weapon wildcat formations, but that makes no sense when we borrowing heavily against Carr's contract to commit ourselves futher to Carr where exiting would force a major rebuild and we already have $10m committed at the wildcat QB spot with Hill. The only way it would make sense to take on Fields even as a cheap short term backup would be if we moved on from Hill. This would both create a role for Fields to be utilized while Carr is still the starter, and clear up salary cap long term for if we ever did want to transition from Carr to Fields. I don't think Fields is a high end starting QB in the NFL but if we didn't have Hill I would not oppose him as a backup if he came cheap and the cost was later refunded in comp picks or trade. |

Hopefully Peterman is more of a 3rd /4th QB to fill the Book / Bortles role in camp. I dont think he is a credible #2 QB in the NFL and he is not even young anymore and I would feel more comfortable with Haener or Hill under center, but we need camp players. I think/hope the articles reporting him as a replacement for Winston are wrong, we may replace Winston internally, or in the draft, but Peterman is not Winston, he is Bortles. There is actually a principle named after him I believe. |

Peterman sucks, if Haener can't beat him out then he needs to be cut.

Corey Davis is coming out of retirement. 6'3 and supposedly a good blocker. Perhaps a good bargain option if we need another receiver. I could easily see him outperforming Darnell Mooney who the Falcons just gave $39 million to and only costing us a few million. |

Wilson Jr seems like a depth signing. Most likely to fill a #3-5 WR role.

I have this gut feeling that we work out a deal for Chase Young today. Just a gut feeling, that's all.

I like the Cedric Wilson signing.
Strong in Dallas. Overshadowed in Miami. Feels like a #3 who could thrive when someone is sidelined with injury. |

The DE market was ran through pretty quick. I’d like to add Chase Young, but on a 2-year, $20 million deal. Not too expensive and not tied to him long term. If we can’t get him at a reasonable rate then I’d go sign Emmanuel Ogbah and then draft a few young guys for the future. Mohamed Kamara would be a nice pick up in the later rounds. He was very disruptive at Colorado State and ran 4.57.
