Carmichael was never a problem until Dennis Allen came in, and the wheels fell off when Dennis Allen brought in his hand picked QB, now Dennis Allen is bringing in his hand picked offensive assistant. Forgive me for not taking for granted Dennis Allen's great judgement of character. I think its honestly quite possible that Carmichael is a better OC than DA is a head coach or Derek Carr is a QB. Only one has a ring in such a role.

There need to be no excuses for DA and Carr this year. Carr can have the first quarter of week 1 to adjust to the new system and then he needs to earn his veteran money and produce. Rookie coaches and rookie QBs are out producing these guys. No more excuses!

A perennial clipboard holder. I think he only had a run of a few good games as a replacement that even put him on the map.

Sounds like Fields called where he wanted to go. It wouldn't have mattered if we wanted to try to traded. For all we know we may have tried. I seriously doubt it, however.
