Saints Insiders?
Actually the reference I am citing is right here:
http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW...ispers1810.htm It was posted Monday September 15, so I guess the season had maybe started by then, but it doesn\'t give any context to believe people were questioning in the preseason. So I guess, and it seems like a reasonable guess that the questioning is going on right now. And no, there\'s no racism in the quarterback position (even though the reasoning behind asking is sort of like, \"hey, have you stopped beating your wife yet?\" I mean really, there\'s no way to answer that). I remember Doug Williams being a very fine quarterback. Warren Moon was a very talented quarterback, up until 6 weeks ago, I thought Donvan McNabb was a very talented quarterback (even though I suspect Donovan\'s problem to be related to having no rushing game). The problem I have with :hallucine:Brooks:hallucine: has zero to do with his skin and everything to do with what\'s between his ears. I said nothing that could be construed as \"bashing\", I merely posted something taken from a reputable online source that might be of interest to the forum. And Billy, I\'m glad to see you\'re still in the land of the living. I was worried that tidbit might have sent you on to glory. |

I\'m beginnig to see why BillyC goes nuts sometimes. I don\'t think A.B. is the second comming of Joe Montana or anything but he doesn\'t suck either. You don\'t put that many points on the board if your Q.B. sucks.

I will say Brooks play is not the problem with this team.
Now here is the scary part. Brooks is playing just a little better than Quincy Carter who does not have near the talent around him. I am not bashing Brooks here only stating an observation after 2 games. Brooks will be fine and a better player if Haz would stop babying him. |

I will say this since the name Quincy Carter came up, Bill Parcells coached a hell of a game last night. He went up against a tough defense in the Giants and won with a much poorer offensive group. He had Sean Payton, who should know enough about the Giants to help this, but he made calls that enabled this weak Dallas offense look pretty good.

Carter\'s really not a bad comparison. I hadn\'t really thought about that before.
Even though Carter is much more of a threat with his feet, I think the comparison is apt. But wow, Parcells really can get a lot of players can\'t he? |

The reason that is a FOOLish statement is because it isn\'t fair. As a matter a fact it\'s down right rediculios. See watch this I can make a rediculos statement too...
Aaron Brooks is playing better right now than than both quarterbacks that were in the superbowl last year. See how that works??? [Edited on 17/9/2003 by BillyCarpenter1] |

Billie, Billie, Billie.
I really like it when you give me the opportunity to shove your fat foot in your mouth. I note you only give the ranking but give no stats. Sure when you look at 13 vs. 20 it appears they are not even close. Good try but this should serve to discredit you once again. Brooks - 2 gms,74 att,47 comp,63.5%,463 yds,3 td,1 int,4 sacks, 89 eff. Carter - 2 gms, 72 att, 40 comp, 55.6%, 589yds, 2 td, 2 int, 7 sacks, 75.5 eff.** ** efficiency ratings do not count rushing for some stupid reason. How can they count sacks but not rushing? Remember I said \"Brooks is playing just a little better than Quincy Carter who does not have near the talent around him.\" ... and carter only has 16 games under his belt. Billie quote: \"The reason that is a FOOLish statement is because it isn\'t fair. As a matter a fact it\'s down right rediculios.\" Ok Billie why is it not fair? I can\'t wait to hear your reasoning. |

Well Billy ,
saintz08 -- If i\'m not mistaken that article was written before the season even started. They were talking about the end of the season collapse, when Brooks was hurt. http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW...We+Hear+It/Whi spers/2003/whispers1810.htm Looks like you are mistaken .... :P |
