Negative Report on DT Eddie Goldman...
The news wasn't quite as good for massive defensive tackle Eddie Goldman, however, who did not work out at the combine. Given his broad 6-4, 336-pound frame, no one was expecting Goldman to run a particularly fast time in the 40-yard dash and he didn't, clocking in at roughly 5.30. Goldman also showed less explosiveness than expected, however, producing just a 26-inch vertical jump and 19 repetitions of 225 pounds in the bench press, numbers that would have ranked among the worst among defensive tackles tested at the combine. Conditioning concerns aka desire funny as it sounds he kinda reminds me of Carl Nick. loads of talent and loaded with questions. THAT WORKED OUT PRETTY WELL FOR A 4TH. third? maybe not. some have him as a 7/UDFA rankings. but if he is on the board and the saints take him in the say the fifth or if we end up with a 4th, even in the 4th i would be kinda happy and waiting to see if he clicks like Nicks did. 3rd round would put me on the edge of my seat talk about a player who skills are not in question nor are off field issues. millions of dollars are riding on his interviews. Re: 2015 draft??
here are a few late to UDFA I am starting looking into more
DT/DE Kristjan Sokoli Buffalo 6050 290 4.86 CB Darryl Roberts Marshal 5110 187 4.38 CB/S Tray Walker Texas Southern 6023 187 4.54 CB DeVante Bausby Pittsburg State 6011 179 4.28 Now I think i found the perfect who the heck? draft pick for the saints -i know the word is getting out about the kid but i just walked away very impressed. The idea of a 6'3" 205 lbs. A slot WR kinda made me giddy WR Tyrell Williams Western Oregan 603 204 4.43 40 time: 4.42 / 4.44 seconds Vertical jump: 39.5 inches Broad jump: 10-foot-7 20-yard short shuttle: 4.11 seconds Three-cone drill: 6.55 seconds Speed size quickness good hands, excels in traffic and actual a solid blocker blocker. versatility? quickness to work out of the slot and a legitimate down field threat out wide. Talk about dominating competition at the second level |

Re: 2015 draft??
stumbled across this today.
4. New Orleans (from Oakland, Oakland gets pick #13, a 3rd round pick and DE Cam Jordan): Leonard Williams, DL, Southern Cal Why make this trade? It comes down to why would the Saints create a hole then try to fill it again? Why not stick with Cam Jordan and stay at 13? Two reasons: 1, Jordan is a good B/B+ level player and probably will never improve from that. Williams could be an A level player as a rookie and is a perfect fit for that defense. 2, Jordan’s making nearly 7 million this season and will become a free agent for a team that’s up against the cap. With the market for top end 3-4 defensive ends highly distorted towards the players, the Saints are figuring that they’re really saving a few million to upgrade the spot at the cost of a 3rd round pick. Jon Fox's Third 2015 NFL Mock Draft | VAVEL.com If he is there this does make sense for the reasons stated by Jon Fox. I still think the Bucs take Leonard Williams at 1. this is Lovie we are talking about here, I would love the pick. rather ship Jr off and let Jordan walk and play the comp pick game. At 31 31. New Orleans (from Seattle): AJ Cann, OG, South Carolina Why not Denzel Perryman? Perryman would help their defense, but they just dealt for Dannell Ellerbe and have David Hawthorne in place. After dumping Ben Grubbs onto Kansas City, they have a big hole on the left side of their offensive line. Cann made 40+ starts for an SEC school and can play anywhere in the interior of a line. which the "can play anywhere in the interior of a line" is not what i have been reading. I know OC is an option but RG? hmmm have to look at him some more |
