What are the chances that we can't come to an agreement with anyone, and have a disgruntled cooks on the roster this coming up year? I know free agency is just starting, but for some reason, with this management, I feel its a real possibility.

$5 million a year. That's an extremely affordable contract. I really thought he'd be a good addition to the Saints. He would have fit well in the Devery Henderson role now that we have our Lance Moore and Marques Colston. Robert Woods could finish it off as our Robert Meachem...and I'm not opposed to signing Eddie Lacy and Reggie Bush. The anticipation of what we're going to do is killing me.

So then pay another FA corner the same.
Not many leave New England for success. Dont want this deal at all. The Pats obviously don't think he is worth 12ml a year or they'd have paid it. We dont pay him that and he walks next year.

I like A.J. Klein as depth. I don't think he has the speed to be an elite starter. Saints love to sign slow LB's. Happy with the pick up though.

Idk rez he ran a 4.66 while not super fast its not slow like the 4.78 of lofton

Ginn did have his second best year in the league last season. %4 catches for 752 yards and four TD's from a crappy passer like Newton. He also only had 5 drops which isn't terrible.

That was my knock on Lofton too. I like my linebackers to be around that Vilma speed. I believe he ran a 4.55. Stephone Anothony ran a 4.56. I need him to get it together. Hopefully Nolan gets him right.

I was about to point that out. One of Cooks' main gripes was being used too much stretching the field. Ginn would gladly do that AND be the return man we need.

Depends on the money. Also I like the signing if we get f.e. Butler and the 32 pick and sign Butler long term then I think it`s a good move. Passrush in the draft has to be adressed I think 2-3 times and I would also like to bring in a veteran guy for passrush situations only.

I heard you on that but with all the speed anthony has he's never around the ball. I like a lil speed mixed with football iq not saying he's dumb but maybe not the right scheme fit for DA

May be in the minority here, but I dont understand taking Butler when we'd be in the same position to pay him soon just like cooks, only alot more than Cooks. I'd rather have a deal with the Titans, but would take Butler & 32

I don't have a problem with Klein or Ginn signing. Klein can help out in the middle of the defense and Ginn can stretch the field and return kicks.
