FWIW, Sterling Moore and Ken Crawley are having a solid camp thus far. Good depth will be key come late Nov/Dec & subsequent playoff run.

I dunno, that looked like a pretty bad throw to me...

They have to keep a spot for Moore. He's a consistent veteran presence in the locker room who is more than capable of starting when PJ or Swann goes down. He's just someone you can count on to get the job done.

It was a pretty bad throw, but Crawley stayed with him the entire route.

Definitely, he's a physical corner that isn't afraid to help in run support also.

Just to piggy back ... even though last year was rough, I thought under the circumstances Crawley played decent. I think he could eventually become a legit #2 or 3 corner. His technique is still a work in progress but I think he is headed in the right direction. The progression he's made from last year to camp, preseason and now this year's camp tells me that he probably didn't have the best coaching @ Colorado but now he seems to be absorbing it all from Dennis as well as Glenn.

Next season could be Ken's break out year (yr 3)... and yes Sterling Moore is a keeper.

How is he with ST? That'll probably be his main area of impact -at least until halfway through the season when our DBs start dropping.

I'm sure we'll get a pretty heavy dose of Moore and Crawley as our starters this season.

Idk I think Williams is going to play more than he has his entire pro career. That would be 3 games.

Momentary pessimism on my part about these CB's staying healthy. I do feel pretty darn good about PJ Williams's luck finally changing.

Lot's of players get dinged in camp. Maybe Payton is starting to use the pull them and let them get better strategy rather than having them play though it.

Good coverage can make a throw look poor if it forces the WR out of the expected spot. Don't know if that was the case here but I think Crawley will play for the Saints for a long time. Maybe not as a starter but as a guy that pulls a Shanle and just sticks.

The difference is that Shanle was recognized as being an outstanding vet by his teammates until he retired

I'd like to see if there's some quantitative stats out there on the health of our DBs vs League Norms (other kids' DBs)...

Know this video shows a tremendous surge by Cam, but look how Hau' gets down and protects his knees now with the chip from the RB...

A lot of teams are hurting at RB. Suspensions, potential suspensions and general mediocracy. I could see us haggling with our depth for a need. Mixon just went down with a foot injury.

FYI Sheldon Rankins has walked off with a trainer also.

EDIT; and so has PJ Williams.

This is getting a little ridiculous.

Just weird that it always seems to be defensive players getting hit by it and not offensive players.

Players kept getting injured at the country club retreat in S-V over the past years, so maybe Lousiana conditions are going to be better in the long run.
