If we don't take a QB at the end of the first round, I really like OG Quenton Nelson and DE Sam Hubbard...

I want to go and get Jeff Ireland's autograph. What a stud!

Re: 2018 NFL Draft Prospects - Saints
Ooh. Ooh. This is where I point out all the LSU Tigers we need in black and gold. This MLB White leads the SEC in tackles by a lot and runs like a DB. Christian LaCotoure is a beast at DT. Of course Arden Key is a great pass rushing super fast DE. DJ Chark has good size and he can fly scoring a 75+yd td run, catch and return in his career. Only Kevin Faulk did that before Chark at LSU. Russel Gage can do it all, handoffs, deep routes and can turn a short curl into a big gain. He reminds me of Golden Tate. Darius Guice is the next great RB from Catholic High and LSU. I think Guice is the best RB in the country and he has great hands too. Darrel Williams is a 230+lb bruiser who runs real low to the ground and breaks tackles on every carry. Williams can be a Chris Ivory type of player. Can we please get a Tiger or two or......on the Saints roster? Im thinking Russel Gage in the 5th rd, LaCotoure in the 4th, DJ Chark in the 3rd, Arden Key in the 2nd and Darius Guice in the 1st rd. Whod be against that? Its kind of possible huh? We get a feature back, a stud DE pass rusher, a tough DT and 2 more WRs for Peyton to play with. Lets never forget, pro bowl WR Jarvis Landry was available when we took Stanley Jean Baptiste.

LB, TE, DT or if the top CB falls again, wouldn't it be nice to have another Lattimore.

Re: 2018 NFL Draft Prospects - Saints
Dorance Armstrong Jr. hyped into round 1? not there yet. i see to much of a passive nature when the play is away from him. motor/passion is in question for me. round 2 works for me right now
Jerome Baker OLB/ILB Ohio State 6005 225 4.62 #17 Jr Baker is slightly undersized, but is another exceptional athlete with sideline to sideline speed. At ILB he fills holes in a flash. What I really like about Baker, he has the agility that makes it difficult to block him inside and yet he’s not afraid to engage blockers. He is well coached in hand usage to separate and explode out of the block. At OLB he can chase down ball carries with impressive suddenness, closing speed and range. He shows good awareness and instincts with solid ball-hawk skills against both the run and the pass. Versatility is his calling card. Need to bulk up a bit? But were does he end up at? ILB? WLB? Is he freakish enough to pull of SLB? But like all the OSU players the have to be approached with caution. They turnover so much talent Quote:

After yesterday's games, if the draft were held based on win-loss pct at the present, we would be drafting in the 26th hole...

25. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
LB Rashaan Evans, Alabama Picking 25th? Think we'll be further to the back - and I'm not buying that the Saints are taking a linebacker in Round 1 again under Sean Payton... |
Re: 2018 NFL Draft Prospects - Saints
Prefer the cowboys pick
26.*DALLAS COWBOYSDI Vita Vea, Washington Vea is more than just a space-eating nose tackle as he complements his elite run-stopping ability with the power to push the pocket better than anyone in the country. Vea moves well for 340-plus pounds and he has 61 career pressures on 480 rushes, showing that he can collapse the pocket in must-pass situations. Vea’s 88.9 overall grade currently ranks fourth among interior defensive linemen in the nation. |

Re: 2018 NFL Draft Prospects - Saints
Actually I was expecting Vita to become much more than what I have seen. I have cooled on him a good bit especially with a proven player available at what should be a bargain price.
DaQuan Jones DT/DE Titians 6036 322 5.35 #90 R4 2014 - $3/4 M Hot player right now for pick 25 might end up being Carlton Davis CB Aurburn 6012 203 4.53 #6 Jr Now he can play the slot. Talk about a jam. but off the field issues might take him off the board I am not sold on a CB at 25 but DE Lorenzo Carter DE/OLB Georgia 6045 243 4.76 Sr ? Round 2/3 Slot? Anthony Averett, CB/FS/WR Alabama 5115 185 4.43 #28 rSr Later on Jamal Peters*, CB, Mississippi State Andre Chachere, CB, San Jose State Jaylen Dunlap, CB, Illinois Have caught my eye on day 3 |
Re: 2018 NFL Draft Prospects - Saints
Is Will Grier worth a look?
I see he had a issue with a suspension for a over the counter illegal supplemt but back playing. Sounds like he isnt a deep thrower but looking good on the stat sheet this year 8 games, 344YPG, 28TD,9 INT just under 64% accuracy |
Re: 2018 NFL Draft Prospects - Saints
I like the fact Will Grier runs a Pro-Style system and I would surprised to see him come out. OSU game exposed some flaws in his game. Lets see how he does the rest of the way. I like his game
I would tell him to stay if most of WVU stays in school and all the other QBs come out. He plays well the rest of 2017 and all the hyped QBs come out, he should be a preseason round 1 hyped QB in 2018. That is a lot of money to risk coming out early in such a heavily QB hyped year. |

26. New Orleans Saints (5-2).
Would you? Mark Andrews TE Oklahoma 6042 254 4.77 #81 rJr Letting you to opt out on Coby Fleener Potential Out: 2018, 2 yr, $14,741,169; $4,800,000 dead cap Savings $3.2 mil in 2018 |
