Christian Kirk WR/KR/PR Texas A&M* 5106 200 4.39 #3 Jr

I like his college game more than Cooks college game. Its simple. KR/PR skill set Cooks never had and Kirk is much better at quick screens and reverses also. Which we all know is an SP favorite.

I would find it hard to pass on the most pro ready WR in the draft.

Calvin Ridley WR Alabama 6005 190 4.48

He is a plug n play #2 day 1

want a mid to late round (5/6) injury flyer in the slot?

Deebo Samuel WR/KR South Carolina 5110 208 4.50 #1 rJr

He is great working out of the slot. He is a solid route runner. He sets up DBs very nicely with smooth, quick and shifty breaks. Shame he broke his fibula. He was looking really good too. Good side he did it early in the year and should be ready to go for OTAs. He was looking like a day 1 starter. He is one of those sneaky quick pest in the slot that can drive teams nuts.

Few others since we have 2 - 5s and 2 - 6s
Michael Gallup WR, Colorado State, 6-1, 195, 4.52, Sr.
Cedric Wilson WR Boise St 6016 4.49 #1 Sr

I may not see the immediate needs in picking both

Calvin Ridley WR Alabama 6005 190 4.48 #3 Jr
Deebo Samuel WR/KR South Carolina 5110 208 4.50 #1 rJr

But I would have to admit I could see a great chance that the saints 3 WR set would be set for years to come.

Micheal Thomas WR OSU 6026 212 4.52 #3 rJr
Calvin Ridley WR Alabama 6005 190 4.48 #3 Jr
Deebo Samuel WR/KR South Carolina 5110 208 4.50 #1 rJr
Willie Snead WR/KR Ball St 5110 195 4.56 #3 Jr
Brandon Coleman WR Rutgers 6060 225 4.52 #17 rJr

I have not given up on
Corey Fuller WR Virgina Tech 6022 204 4.43 #83 rSr

I would almost be giddy and looking for a TE to finish it off this beast for Drew and SP

But my gut is telling me

Micheal Thomas WR OSU 6026 212 4.52 #3 rJr
Christian Kirk WR/KR/PR Texas A&M* 5106 200 4.39 #3 Jr

I like Kirk's value.

If the saints are going to do this then lets not screw around

Round 1 pick you poison
Mason Rudolph, QB Oklahoma State 6036 235 4.77 #2 Sr
Luke Falk, QB, Washington State 6032 214 4.87 #4 rSr

Round 3 hedge your bet
Baker Mayfield QB Oklahoma 6002 220 4.64 #6 rSr

winner takes over for Drew and loser gets traded

Really, really like Falk; Mayfield won't get outta the second round borrowing an injury or goat-f**king with Chelsea Clinton...

See that's what I'm thinking; it makes that second round pick for Kamara that much less painful - that and Kamara's continued impact...

Re: 2018 NFL Draft Prospects - Saints

Ooh. Ooh. This is where I point out all the LSU Tigers we need in black and gold. This MLB White leads the SEC in tackles by a lot and runs like a DB. Christian LaCotoure is a beast at DT. Of course Arden Key is a great pass rushing super fast DE. DJ Chark has good size and he can fly scoring a 75+yd td run, catch and return in his career. Only Kevin Faulk did that before Chark at LSU. Russel Gage can do it all, handoffs, deep routes and can turn a short curl into a big gain. He reminds me of Golden Tate. Darius Guice is the next great RB from Catholic High and LSU. I think Guice is the best RB in the country and he has great hands too. Darrel Williams is a 230+lb bruiser who runs real low to the ground and breaks tackles on every carry. Williams can be a Chris Ivory type of player. Can we please get a Tiger or two or......on the Saints roster? Im thinking Russel Gage in the 5th rd, LaCotoure in the 4th, DJ Chark in the 3rd, Arden Key in the 2nd and Darius Guice in the 1st rd. Whod be against that? Its kind of possible huh? We get a feature back, a stud DE pass rusher, a tough DT and 2 more WRs for Peyton to play with. Lets never forget, pro bowl WR Jarvis Landry was available when we took Stanley Jean Baptiste.

Hot/cold and missed quite a few snaps over the last month. Consistency is a concern right now. Possible shoulder concerns?

His stock is trending down right now.

Until he runs a 4.4 40 at the combine. Unfortunately, he reminds me a little of Barkevious Mingo but Keys production has been much better than Mingo's.

I like how he plays with a low center of gravity; strong base; adequate bend; good footwork; needs better vision, gap discipline...

LB, TE, DT or if the top CB falls again, wouldn't it be nice to have another Lattimore.

Dorance Armstrong Jr. hyped into round 1? not there yet. i see to much of a passive nature when the play is away from him. motor/passion is in question for me. round 2 works for me right now

Jerome Baker OLB/ILB Ohio State 6005 225 4.62 #17 Jr
Baker is slightly undersized, but is another exceptional athlete with sideline to sideline speed. At ILB he fills holes in a flash. What I really like about Baker, he has the agility that makes it difficult to block him inside and yet he’s not afraid to engage blockers. He is well coached in hand usage to separate and explode out of the block. At OLB he can chase down ball carries with impressive suddenness, closing speed and range. He shows good awareness and instincts with solid ball-hawk skills against both the run and the pass. Versatility is his calling card. Need to bulk up a bit? But were does he end up at? ILB? WLB? Is he freakish enough to pull of SLB?

But like all the OSU players the have to be approached with caution. They turnover so much talent

Bradley Chubb drops to the 1/2 range of the draft? I will not be surprised. Their is very little hyped upside with him. Nothing is really flashy about him. I am not expecting a huge beauty pageant showing before the draft either. He is a boring solid all around good football player.

Guys at the end of the first round, I'm liking...

OG Quenton Nelson, Notre Dame; Height: 6' 4"; Weight: 329 lbs

LB Cameron Smith, USC; Height: 6' 2"; Weight: 245 lbs

QB Baker Mayfield, OU; Height: 6' 0"; Weight: 218 lbs

NT Vita Vea, Washington; Height: 6' 5"; Weight: 344 lbs

I like how we've been signing, drafting linebackers that can play all three positions (e.g. Robertson, Klein, Stupar, Mauti, Anzalone) and Baker seems limited with that regard...

I would. He's a better version of Colt McKoy. Super competitive, nice arm strength, elevates players around him, good feet & makes big plays in big moments.

25. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
LB Rashaan Evans, Alabama

Picking 25th? Think we'll be further to the back - and I'm not buying that the Saints are taking a linebacker in Round 1 again under Sean Payton...

Prefer the cowboys pick

26.*DALLAS COWBOYSDI Vita Vea, Washington

Vea is more than just a space-eating nose tackle as he complements his elite run-stopping ability with the power to push the pocket better than anyone in the country. Vea moves well for 340-plus pounds and he has 61 career pressures on 480 rushes, showing that he can collapse the pocket in must-pass situations. Vea’s 88.9 overall grade currently ranks fourth among interior defensive linemen in the nation.

I've seen his name come up quite a bit on this board. Is this kid the truth? I'm not familiar with him nor have I seen any of Washington's games this year. Dominant NFL Pro prospect?

Last player with this much Pre draft hype at the position was Danny Shelton (same college as Vea).

Re: 2018 NFL Draft Prospects - Saints

Actually I was expecting Vita to become much more than what I have seen. I have cooled on him a good bit especially with a proven player available at what should be a bargain price.

DaQuan Jones DT/DE Titians 6036 322 5.35 #90 R4 2014 - $3/4 M

Hot player right now for pick 25 might end up being

Carlton Davis CB Aurburn 6012 203 4.53 #6 Jr
Now he can play the slot. Talk about a jam. but off the field issues might take him off the board

I am not sold on a CB at 25 but DE

Lorenzo Carter DE/OLB Georgia 6045 243 4.76 Sr ?

Round 2/3 Slot?

Anthony Averett, CB/FS/WR Alabama 5115 185 4.43 #28 rSr

Later on

Jamal Peters*, CB, Mississippi State
Andre Chachere, CB, San Jose State
Jaylen Dunlap, CB, Illinois

Have caught my eye on day 3

Is Will Grier worth a look?

I see he had a issue with a suspension for a over the counter illegal supplemt but back playing. Sounds like he isnt a deep thrower but looking good on the stat sheet this year

8 games, 344YPG, 28TD,9 INT just under 64% accuracy

hagan714 11-02-2017 03:55 AM

Re: 2018 NFL Draft Prospects - Saints

I like the fact Will Grier runs a Pro-Style system and I would surprised to see him come out. OSU game exposed some flaws in his game. Lets see how he does the rest of the way. I like his game

I would tell him to stay if most of WVU stays in school and all the other QBs come out.

He plays well the rest of 2017 and all the hyped QBs come out, he should be a preseason round 1 hyped QB in 2018. That is a lot of money to risk coming out early in such a heavily QB hyped year.

The one thing that worries me is his lack of leg size as he has the body of a candied apple...

But he's definitely a dancing bear who could make Rankins a force inside...
