... but there's method to my madness, Red, and the cup is always 'half-full' ... if the Devils lose the Stanley Cup, Zach Parise is more likely to leave New Jersey & possibly wind up with the Wings ... if the Devils win the Cup, Parise (as Captain) feels obligated to stay with the organization, so even if the Devils lose & I'm wrong on my prediction, we still get Parise,
, it's still a 'win' either way ...
and yeah, I agree with you guys on the hockey announcers, most the time I turn down the volume & try to find a radio broadcast of the games to listen to instead of the TV guys ... especially Melrose ... I'd have to look, but off the top of my head, I don't think Gretzky's (not Melrose's) '92/'93 LA Kings and this current LA Kings are that similiar, and I say this because Warren Rychel played on those early '90s LA teams (he's a local Windsor boy who's Dad owned the Pro Shop in Tecumseh Arena & I used to talk with all the time) so I followed them a little bit ... I don't think Gretzky's (not Melrose's) Kings were as 'blue-collar' or 'grind-linesh' as these current Kings are, and they had Rychel/McSorely who gooned it up more then these current Kings do ... maybe Melrose is trying to imply that he laid the building blocks way back in '92/'93 for LA to make it back to the Finals this year (?) ...
