this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Isaac was our highest graded player on defense. He really played a great game, especially for a backup....

I thought he performed well but after watching the replay ... LaFleur kept attacking him in the red zone however Dennis never gave the kid any help?

The lack of a pass rush (Love was barely touched) didn't help our corners either.

This makes so much sense and is on coaching. When bringing in an extra lineman you weaken the edge by adding the weaker player outside of the starting tackle. By placing him inside the tackle you add an extra blocker without weakening the edge. By the way, this is from Derek's brother, Darren, who is the head coach of a high school team.

You can see here that the defender beats the added player outside of Ramczyk on the right. It looks like it may have been Young.

Landon Young has no business playing outside of Ramz.

He's too slow, has poor hand placement and technique.

Easy sack. All eyes on Dougie Marrone.

Exactly what Darren Carr was saying. Our players don't just suddenly suck out of nowhere. They seem to be being misused and/or "mis-coached".

Saints oline made Arden Key look like Demarcus Ware in week 1, now Gary records 3 sacks in a game coming off the right side.

Collectively, this line has to be better and the Bucs will blitz on Sunday.

Re: Observations from the Saints Loss to Packers

How are the Packers the #1 oline in the league while their LT and LG are hurt? Or do the Packers three opponents the Bears, Falcons, and Saints all have lousy pass rush?

If DA and PC need tips from a high school football coach maybe they should not be NFL coaches, or at least DC needs different help with our offense. I am beginning to feel that the main role of our offensive coaching staff under Sean Payton was to make Payton and Brees coffee, and without Payton he have a lot of coffee and no offense. We might need to hire someone to drink the coffee who knows something about offense.

Re: Observations from the Saints Loss to Packers

Yeah Bako, I mentioned that yesterday.

Their starting LT & G have been out for a few weeks. Not to mention
no Aaron Jones or Watson either.

Often times you have to take those PFF rankings with a grain of salt.

Now the reporter who has the Saints Oline ranked #27th or so …

That’s a valid stat.
