A scenario that would be cool is if Alt or Fashanu isn’t there at 14 then trade back to around the 20-23 area which would also require their second round pick as well.

How about Tyler Guyton in the 2nd round?

Has the size, good lateral quickness & can play BOTH RT & LT.

Since the combine, pretty much every mock draft has him going in the first, but that would be great if he was there in the second for the taking. I like the versatility.
I don’t care if it’s the first or second round we grab o line, just as long as they can start quickly and fits our scheme.

If we go O line with our first pick, then I’d like to go D line with our second. I’m really liking Darius Robinson for that pick if he’s there. He’s almost exactly same height and weight as Cam Jordan and can potentially be just as good. He also has the versatility to slide inside as well. I think he may be gone by late first round though.

In the last 12 months the Saints gave fresh new high dollar contracts/extensions to two defensive ends, used their 1st round pick at Defensive Tackle, and signed two additional defensive tackles to mid-tier free agent contracts. If defensive line and particularly pass rush are our biggest need, or even second biggest need, that is to some degree and indictment of the front office.
