Lattimore is an aging corner in NFL terms and has missed 50% of his games over the last two years. His value is very low. Even his PFF scores have not been elite for years. The script is to scare fans with the thought of losing him and then rejoice in keeping him with excitement of an amazing season where he will finally be healthy, to pull the wool over the fact that we are stuck paying him way too much and his trade value would be a mid round pick at most if we pay his salary. I know Lattimore turning 28 this year sounds young but not for a corner it isn't. He will be going into his 8th NFL season. Look at what happened to other elite corners in their 6th-10th NFL season, most become unreliable and many drop off a cliff in performance. And although Lattimore's rookie season was elite, he never reached quite that peak again and has never made an all-pro team. He is a second tier very good corner who has started missing half of games and getting old. |

Re: Official 2024 Saints Draft Discussion
This kind of gives you an indication of the success rate of QB's drafted in the 1st round. There's absolutely no guarantees. Five QB's taken in the top 15 and none are surefire franchise QB's.

Re: Official 2024 Saints Draft Discussion
This might be controversial, but I think Andrus Peat played fairly well at left tackle. He certainly played better there than he did at guard.
