Re: 2013 NFL Draft - Saints Big Board
Johnsons not getting out the top 12,personally I think he is gone in top 10
|
Re: 2013 NFL Draft - Saints Big Board
Looking at the Jets having 2 first rounders and needing a new QB either this one or next and not much talent this year. Plus the uncertainty over Ryan if the jets would consider a trade along the lines of
Saints 1st 2014-(one of 3/4/5)2014 and Ivory for there 9th or 13th this year. We can then either get Johnson and another at 15 or trade back with one while picking up a need. |
Re: 2013 NFL Draft - Saints Big Board
Absolutely no way the Jets part with a 1st round pick for Ivory, not even in a "exchange" of #1s.
|
Re: 2013 NFL Draft - Saints Big Board
They would get a 1st rounder and another next year.It depends on wether they feel that Ryan is the long term option or if they will cut loose on him and Sanchez and completely rebuild next year.

Re: 2013 NFL Draft - Saints Big Board
they're crazy.
Lane is a project and one of those players that is over hyped because of his athleticism. before the pre draft beauty competitions i had him at20 with Fluker at 22. |
Re: 2013 NFL Draft - Saints Big Board
Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri please no lmao he is one of the over hyped fab 5.
Trufant is one of them and that would be my pick. at least you have a good idea of what your getting. no way is he a bottom of the second but he is not top twenty in any other year but this one |
Re: 2013 NFL Draft - Saints Big Board
The latest mock from Walter football would be a great draft imo
1 Sheldon Richardson 3 Jesse Williams 4 TJ McDonald 5 Chris Faulk 6 Michael Mauti, I cant see halfof the players being there in them rounds but id be pretty happy with that |

What I hear is the Falcons would like to move up and select Rhodes. I'd be happy if we take him for no other reason than they wouldn't get him...

R4(109) DE/OLB JOHN SIMON - nice the dude is a wild man on the field. i was wondering when his name would be brought up. i have to say you hardly ever read things like this. WEAKNESSES: Simon is almost too bulked up. Simon plays too energetic at times and will wear himself out due to his relentless attitude. He takes overaggressive angles at times and needs to control his intensity. :p i think of that LB in the movie The Replacements when i read it every time. The "Go get me the ball" scene. Special teams head hunter year one fan fav i like both IR players but both should be gone by the 4th be gone imo. if not score! |

there are some really nice red flag players this year with positive feed back from Dr. so many so that your guess is as good as mine were the heck they go. from round 1 to round 4. i have seen it on other sites too and the i lol because this year draft has the so called pro's all screwed up now he has gone from pup to season IR? damn he is going to get screwed if that does not get cleared up asap |

...My guess is that his injury probably was a Lisfranc - though recoverable, would render him ineffective for nearly a year - and his advisors have kept that information under the shelf so as not to affect his draft value... |
Re: 2013 NFL Draft - Saints Big Board
Also read that Jarvis Jones does not have spinal stenosis as he was diagnosed by his doctors at USC...
That would effect where Jarvis Jones gets drafted as true... ...to me, Ogletree is the better linebacker with the highest ceiling... ...if the Saints are staying at 15, this is the best place to be to draft an impact defensive player and a linebacker at that... ...we missed and blew it not taking Clay Matthews - please don't let the Saints blow it again... |
Re: 2013 NFL Draft - Saints Big Board
If Jarvis Jones has a clean bill of health do people want him or Mingo?.
Mingos numbers off the field look better and maybe if he bulks out and hits his ceiling he is the better player but looking at the onfield plays Jones just looks better to me. |
Re: 2013 NFL Draft - Saints Big Board
Who reported that about Jarvis, his agent? Because I haven't heard anything, you would think that would've been on the news somewhere. If true that changes a lot.
|
Re: 2013 NFL Draft - Saints Big Board
I read the same thing somewhere... can't remember where, but Jones has been cleared and apparently he never had the spinal stenosis to begin with - misdiagnoses.
|
Re: 2013 NFL Draft - Saints Big Board
I read there isn't one single pass rusher in the entire NFL that ran a 4.9 or worse. Not a single one.
What do all of these players have in common with Jarvis Jones? Nick Fairley Antonio Coleman Carlos Dunlap Eric Norwood Marcus Howard Greg Hardy Wallace Gilberry Jamal Anderson Derrick Harvey Willie Evans David Pollack They all led the SEC in Sacks. Only a couple of those guys I'd consider among the NFL's best. |

Re: 2013 NFL Draft - Saints Big Board
Fifth Round: Cooper Taylor, S, Richmond
Taylor has all the tools to be a very good safety in this league for a long time, but just like Jones his medical condition (Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome) causes teams to pause. So that's why the Georgia Tech transfer was rated as a 7-FA before the draft process played out. That is about the time that Taylor started rising. He was cleared medically and proceeded to tear up workouts. Measuring in at a 6' 5" and 238 lbs, he is massive for a defensive back. That big of a safety should not be running 4.55 in the 40-yard dash, but he does. His footwork and decisiveness are also some of the things that are going to make him a steal in the fifth round. 6'5 238lb safety running 4.55 My God,somebody created a monster |

6'5 238lb safety running 4.55 in as a OLB/ILB on passing downs?
|
Re: 2013 NFL Draft - Saints Big Board
You don't need to be 6-5 to lay a hit.
4.55 is the same speed as Harper and Jenkins. |
Re: 2013 NFL Draft - Saints Big Board
here is all of the rumors that walter football has for the saints...with dates
New Orleans Saints: April 22: "With many pass rushers dropping, Tank Carradine still generating buzz from recent workout. Saints seem quite intrigued among others." - Jason La Canfora April 20: "Even after they signed the star of their [cornerback] class, Keenan Lewis, [the Saints] continued to pursue veterans Nnamdi Asomugha and Tracy Porter. Clearly, the Saints want to improve their pass defense, with an emphasis on physical corners who can handle man-to-man press coverage. That makes Florida State's Xavier Rhodes a very realistic option with the Saints' first-round pick. He's a big, physical corner at 6 feet 2, 210 pounds, and he's projected to go off the board somewhere between the 10th and 20th pick." - Mike Triplett, New Orleans Times-Picayune April 9: "With 15th pick, Saints would likely need to trade up to get L. Johnson. But I asked Sean Payton about LT and said it keeps him up at night." - Sean Jensen, Chicago Sun-Times March 3: "We understand both the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints will look hard at defensive backs in the early rounds of the draft." - Tony Pauline Jan. 27: Sources told Charlie Campbell the Saints don't put much value into the offensive tackle position, so they likely won't pursue someone like Lane Johnson at No. 15 overall. 2013 NFL Draft Rumors - WalterFootball.com |
