Keep an eye on the waiver wires, they're some new coaches wanting to change the looks on their teams - opportunities for both players needing a change of scenery and teams with depth needs can meet...

As much as I'd like to add more talent, depth on the defensive, offensive lines, I'd love to have signed WR Moritz Böhringer...

Would love to seem his get coached up by CJ and work in our offense...

I don't believe either of these guys are part of the Saints plans + Hankins would command high dollar.

but you know the front office could make the Hankins deal work structure the entire contract with bonuses and as for Vacarro we could get him really cheap now and he's at least experienced in the secondary.

Cher, don't hold your breath on Kenny Vaccaro; Hankins is likely going to the Redskins when Hankins accepts reality of his asking price...

After this weekend, Payton will decide if a veteran reserve o-lineman is needed; DA and AG are likely the key on necessity of a Delvin Breaux return...

What I like this off season is that the Saints Front office has been reasonable & responsible. No "superstar signings" or monster contracts (Suh & Jimmy were offered fair deals but chose more money elsewhere) but solid contributions at positions of need.

It's hard for me not to like what's going on this off season.

I'm told former Ravens first-round pick S Matt Elam is getting a tryout with the Saints at their rookie minicamp this weekend. Had a few legal issues last year but all charges were dropped

Matt was a BIG hitter coming out of Florida. I thought he would have a more profound impact in the league. Well at least it cost nothing to have a "looksy" & kick the tires.

Further solidifies that the Saints staff/coaching staff have little interest in bringing back Kenny V. Not even at league minimum.

Don't bet on it...Elam may be superior athletically, but you have to execute...

Look at the Patriots - hardly athletes - but they execute because of the coaching...

Elam is gonna have to get his head on right, Aaron Glenn and DA are gonna have to find the right role for him...

His scouting report read like Roman Harper's - And I'd prefer a DB who can legitimately cover no matter what else he can do...

Highly unlikely. If anything, Matt would be battling for a #4 roster spot @ safety.

Tyrunn Walker just turned 28?! I though he had to be 30 by now. Man, I would love to bring him back. I haven’t followed his career since he left but I remember him being a real promising up and coming player when he went to Detroit.

Curious if he showed up to rookie mini-camp in shape or not...Thinking he'd be a reserve rotating with Rankins at the DT3...

That'd allow Onyemata to rotate with Davison at the NT; however, last year he played NT with the Rams...
