Agreed. And wouldn't be surprised if the extensions (Gardner, Davenport) come after the Kamara suspension and subsequent appeal...

I'm starting to think the front office is looking for other, healthier options not named Kwon Alexander.

But he still gives us quality snaps, and he is not on the Popeyes Sammich diet. I say one more year. Let's get more of the LSU band together.

Or maybe Dennis & company see him as a 3rd down backer at this point in his career?

I wasn't high on Pete Werner coming out of the draft, but he's been quietly solid most of last season. Not to mention he played in 15 games last season.

To be continued on Kwon :bng:

I'd say it's very prudent to re-sign Kwon Alexander; especially as no reserve as stepped forward in nothing more than a kick coverage/special teams role...

Re: 2022 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints

Probably will get clapped down or ratio'd for this, but looking at the roster, Saints have some depth (i.e. Granderson, Juwan Johnson, Lil'Jordan) at priority positions...

Wouldn't be surprised if we go through camp with most remaining healthy to see a player/player trade for a quality RB, TE or S...

They've been that quietly productive this off-season, I've forgot some of the players they signed and them being mentioned reminds me lol

I just really hope Sorenson doesn't see the field, that is the only head scratcher for me.

The Kentavius Street one is the exact one I meant, I saw it like yesterday and was like wtf when did that happen! Lol

Really impressed with DA so far, let's hope it translates!

Is Kwon not healthy?!? My impression was that DA was happy with Werner's development and that's why he saw more snaps...

I don't think Coach Allen & company are done bringing in more ammo.

Possibly another LB, RB, or TE.

Said previously, Loomis should look at 3-4 team and move Baun for a RB or even a LBer who's a better fit in the Saints 4-2-5/4-3 defense...

Wow, hadn't realized Porter Gustin was a free agent, again; always felt he could get to 290lbs he should move inside as a 3DT; just doesn't have the bend for a DE...

I love what Demario brings but man, he's a year older and Pete is only in year 2. Not sure I trust what's behind them (specifically in pass coverage).

Adding a quality vet wouldn't hurt. I know we signed Eric Wilson this off season but not sure what Coach has planned for him. Is he Kwon's replacement perhaps?

"I need answers!" :p

Really, really liked Chad Muma out of Wyoming, same football program that produced Logan Wilson, who, along with Ole Miss QB Matt Corral were my hoped picks in Round 2...

While the roster has some great special teamers, no true starters; we need another LBer who could spell Davis, Werner; that relief may be spelled K-W-O-N__A-L-E-X-A-N-D-E-R...

K, Schobert made the ProBowl with the Browns in a 4-3 front; plus, he's terrific at breaking down plays; his age is a concern if he has to play starter reps...

But to have him as the ready-5 rotational LBer playing 20% snaps to spell Davis and Werner is very intriguing; he'll be limited to the inside, but Davis can kick outside...

A friend of mine who follows the Steelers claims he's suspect in coverage though.

I would rather have Jones if we are really looking at lb.'s. Plug and play.

Slightly more favorable than Scott Shanle, but yes, he's had his struggles in pass coverage; that's why I'd prefer Kwon Alexander...

I’ve heard that from some people as well and that he is slow too

Before the injuries, David was a very good RB in this league.

We could use veteran depth there.

Camp body perhaps?
