Unless something changed for Sanders over the last month, he told reporters at SI that he's strongly considering retirement.

I know it's slim pickings but I don't like any of them. Laundry if forced to but I wouldn't want anything more than a year deal. Will turn 30 this year and his numbers ha e declined the past two years. Always seems banged up.

Sanders just looked like he was playing on fumes last year. And Fuller might well injure himself signing his deal

Wouldn't we be better off with draft picks at this juncture ?

I'd ask Miami what they want for Parker, his cap hit is around 6ml for each of the next two years. Other than that or similar trade yes for me the draft.

I wouldn't be signing players over 30 for any sort of long term deals

I am a little confused on why so many people are all in on bringing in an aged wide receiver to the mix. I think all assumptions are that MT comes back healthy and if so I believe Callaway will be a perfect fit at the two along with a hybrid like Harty(Harris). Callaway with 4 different starting QB’s last year had comparable numbers to these other FA’s many are wanting. Fact is Callaway was just not ready for a number one role especially on an offense like we had last year so the number 2 role may be where the coaches believe he will excel. And truthfully after seeing what all these young receivers are doing around the league you save your money and hopefully hit paydirt with a young guy coming in and not spend 7 or 8 million on an over the hill receiver.

Receivers can play a little longer into their 30s than other positions; like QBs they can use their experience to offset declining skills...

If Jarvis Landry would do a three year deal with the first two seasons guaranteed money, I'd get that done in a second...

WRz Emmanuel Sanders in a time share with a rookie WRz would also be good for the team...

Valdez Scantling was a guy that could have really helped us on offense.

As far as defense goes, not really sure what will happen with PJ & Kwon A.

I’d hate to either of them.

TE is a position that definitely needs to be addressed. I don’t see very many people discussing this. Yes we are badly in need of a WR 2 but I feel like we can draft a guy. Are there any TE’s in FA or on other teams rosters that would be worth a trade? What’s this years draft class look like?

Nothing against Alexander, but I'd rather see Werner take majority of the snaps with Davis as the Saints rarely have three LBs on the field at the same time.

What y’all think about DeVante Parker?

I'd offer a 3rd rounder for Parker. Teamed up with MT & a bona fide rookie from the draft and now you have options.

As The Dude mentioned, Saints also need a TE. Trautman needs a few years to properly develop.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Trautman makes a nice leap as soon as this year and don’t forget about Juwan Johnson who did a respectable job for being a undrafted rookie.

I agree though that we need to sign a WR, and a third for Parker would not bother me in the least bit. Add in Calloway and Humphrey and possibly a draft pick like you mentioned and we have a nice setup for Jamies to do his thing.

You know we’re talking a lot about WR,TE , and O line, but does anybody know what we’re doing with our HB situation?

Suppose that's all dependent on AK. Which is set for just before the draft. I would have taken fournette but he's just resigned for tampa
Still a few options left. But wouldn't mind a few of the RB that will be there day 2/3

True, but in rotation, those guys stayed fresh and were able to be dominant through four quarters - that's why I really want to bring Kwon back...

Also DeMario has maybe one more year of elite play as he's now 33 years old...

Re: 2021 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints

Here's what I was referring to when I said the free agent market should adjust with patience. Once these remaining WR's realize that the demand isn't there to pay what they are asking they'll be forced to sign for less. If Landry's camp has put this price tag out there it's no wonder he's not getting calls from teams like the Saints.

Underhill addresses the adjusting of the WR market to which I spoke earlier. Per Underhill, "letting the market settle makes sense as long as talent is eventually added."

Cohen for me if we are looking for cover for a Kamara suspension.
Would give them a nice 3 needed monster like the 09-11 teams when all 3 are active.

Apparently Jarvis Landry is looking for 20 million a year. He might be worth 5-8 at this point in his career. Hard pass.

What a coincidence…I’m looking for 20 million dollars too! Didn’t realize Landry and I both had misplaced that much! If Landry does find 20 million he better check to make sure it’s not mine.
