They end up stuck at 28 and pick Davenport 2.0 with Sean Payton doing a presser afterwards sounding so defeated and pulling stuff out of his a$$ to talk up the pick.

Now in the 2nd round this happened:

We end up stuck with a two-down LB instead.

At least we got CB Paulson Adebo... the saving grace of this draft class.
So was all of this sarcasm, other's opinions, or were they yours? I'm confused.

[quote=AsylumGuido;920236]That has nothing to do with today. Once again you dwell upon the past. Can you never let something go? On, and on, and on, and on, in aeternum.

Have you never made a questionable decision in the past? When it comes to the Saints front office your criticism goes far beyond the standard for some strange reason. In the scheme of things missing on a draft choice here or there is meaningless. It happens all the time and will continue to happen.

The only reason my criticism goes further than the Saints Press Corps is because the Saints via Greg Bensel will put a Saints journalist in the cold...

In other words, they'd have no access, no story, no job, no income and those folks have families dependent on staying in the Saints' good graces...

Whereas, post opinions here, backed by the cited history of mistakes of a management team that's wasted prime Brees' years because they're not accountable...

You ask someone to let it go when you won't refuse to unconditionally admit when you're specifically wrong, nor will you cite at least one of Sean Payton's personnel gaffes...

Better buckle up, buttercup, short of death, the criticism isn't going to stop when they continue to fumble in their moves...

And if all you want is rainbows and lollipops, well, grab your pom-poms and give Jesse a call, sure he loved some company on the Saintsations...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Homophobic much?

"Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it" is directed toward those that have the history. I'm not sure who your target is in the constant repetitions slamming the front office. Nothing you say or do is going to have any impact whatsoever on someone else's success or failure to learn from history.

As a famous B&G orator once said, "Could'a, would'a, should'a ... what if?"

So you basically have nothing but your usual gibberish, in this case name calling because you can't win an argument...

Name calling? I thought you were the one that suggested I hang out with Jesse of the Saintsations? LOL! Sounds to me you were questioning my manhood because I refuse to dwell on things that you consider "gaffes" or "blunders".

As for not winning an argument, I'm still not getting where you come up with all of these supposed "gaffes" and "blunders" that you are constantly attempting to pin on Sean Payton? I still don't see anything I would label a "gaffe" or a "blunder" on his part. You seem as though you feel he is incompetent. I do know the front office have made some decisions with which you personally disagree, but there has never been a front office that didn't have detractors at times concerning personnel moves. As I have pointed out many times, the draft is an inexact science. EVERY front office in the history of the NFL draft have made decisions that did not work out. That does not make them "gaffes" or "blunders". Have you considered that you yourself may be wrong on occasion when you disagree with moves they have made? Every free agent move doesn't end in success, either. Welcome to the world of NFL football.

You called me homophobic; there was nothing in my statement that was homophobic; that's basically libel, and as an educated journalist, you should've known that...

But based on contemporary journalism, or overall lack thereof, you'll give yourself a pass...

I apologize, JP. My man card was crimped there being labeled a Saintsation wannabe.

But, back to the discussion at hand ... what are these so-called "gaffes" and "blunders"?

It's time for a song to lighten the mood. I wish I knew how to download What a Wonderful World by "Sachmo" Louis Armstrong.
